The tone In Maria's mother's voice and the way her mother conveyed the news of her Dad's death was so impassionate while it was not that you would think about her in the earlier part.
The ending was necessary for the entire story. The rich dad's intervening came too late. Maria put up with all that crap and was unable to see her dad. It show's how truly entiled the teen was.

To the couple's delight, the woman is a hard worker who is good at keeping their house clean. Even better, she turns out to be an assertive no-nonsense woman who is more than capable of putting their daughter in her place, having no tolerance for her 'superior attitude'. At dinner, the parents invite the housekeeper to eat with them, but the daughter angrily protests, saying a servant shouldn't be allowed to sit at the table. The housekeeper firmly stands up for herself, calling the daughter a spoiled princess who has been sucking on the silver spoon she has been born with due to living in priviledge and wealth, but it doesn't give her the right to treat people this way. Outraged, the daughter says no one has ever spoken to her in that manner. The housekeeper responds that it's time someone did. Later, on another day, with her parents out of the house, the daughter has her boyfriend over to complain about her situation and he sympathizes with her. She comes up with a plot to kill her parents so she can continue to live in luxury. First they try setting a trap involving a tripwire and the chandelier. But the housekeeper has managed to descreetly discover their plan and foils their attempt. Next, the daughter and her boyfriend try poisoning her parents' tea, but the housekeeper dumps it out and makes a fresh back in clean cups. Finally, the daughter and her boyfriend cut the brakes on her parents' car, but the vigilante housekeeper calls for a tow truck to have the car towed away. The frustrated daughter decides that they need to get rid of the housekeeper and she knows how. On the day before the daughter is scheduled to move out, the mother discovers that her favorite necklace is missing. The housekeeper calls the police. When they arrive and question the family, the daughter suggests that the housekeeper stole it and that they should search her bag. The housekeeper denies stealing the necklace and allows the police to search her bag, saying she has nothing to hide. The police search the bag and find nothing. Shocked, the daughter searches the bag and dumps out the contents. Eventually her frustration boils over and she demands to know where the necklace is, even claiming she saw her steal it. The housekeeper denies it, accusing the daughter of lying, and tells the mother that the necklace is back on her dresser. When the mother discovers the necklace on top of her dresser, she and her husband ask the housekeeper how she knew. The housekeeper tells them to ask their daughter as she was the one who stole the necklace and hid it. She tells the daughter not to deny it because she saw her do it. She even shows everyone footage on her cellphone showing the daughter stealing the necklace and then planting it in the housekeeper's bag, much to the shock of her parents who now realize with the suspicious police that she tried to set up the housekeeper. The daughter didn't count on the housekeeper finding the necklace and putting it back onto the mother's dresser as she was calling the police. The confused parents confront their daughter asking why she tried to set up the housekeeper, but the daughter is more concerned about the hidden cameras. The housekeeper then reveals her secret. When she first applied for the job, she knew of the daughter's reputation, so she convinced her husband, the owner of the local security company to loan her some equipment. She placed hidden cameras in every room in the house, including the bedrooms, halls, kitchen, dining room, living room, family room, the garage, and even the vehicles. She explains that this is how she was able to stay one step ahead of the daughter, avoid falling victim to her pranks, helping her parents track her down to the nightclub, and foil her attempts to frame her for theft. While the parents are impressed with her resourcefulness, the daughter stammers at how this is invasion of privacy. The housekeeper says that it's not when it was done for security purposes. After what happened to the other housekeepers, she needed to protect herself. She then reveals that speaking of security, she has footage that the police and parents will be interested in. The new footage reveals the daughter's plot with her boyfriend to kill her parents so she could continue to live in luxury. The housekeeper shows footage of all their attempts and how she foiled them all. Even when confronted by the police and her horrified parents, the daughter refuses to accept blame for her actions, even casting it on the housekeeper, claiming that none of this would have happened if she hadn't suggested that she move out. The parents say that all they wanted was for their daughter to become their own person, revealing that they were not born into wealth and comfort like she was and that they worked hard to get where they were. But they now realize that their daughter is too selfish, spoiled, and lazy to make it happen. The housekeeper says that now would be a good time to tell her about the changes they made to their will, much to the daughter's surprise. The parents reveal that the housekeeper convinced them to change their wills to leave everything to charity in the event that something happened to them, as a way of motivating her. They were going to tell her the day she moved out. The housekeeper says that even if her evil plan had succeeded, she wouldn't have gotten anything. The daughter flies into a rage and hatefully attacks the housekeeper but the police are able to restrain her before she can inflict any harm. As she is being arrested, she rants and rages against the housekeeper for ruining everything, calling her a stupid indigent servant. The housekeeper puts her in her place one last time, saying that no matter how clever she thinks she is, someone will always come along to put her in her place. The angry daughter asks her parents if they are going to let the servant talk to her that way, but they side with the housekeeper again and disown her. The housekeeper gives the police the address of the daughter's boyfriend so they can arrest him for being an accomplice to attempted murder. As she is being taken away, the daughter swears revenge against the housekeeper. When she is alone with the couple, the housekeeper apologizes for not telling them about the cameras and offers to leave. The parents protest, saying that she is an even greater godsend than they thought as she saved their lives. They plead with her to stay and she agrees. She continues to serve them as their faithful housekeeper. As for the daughter and her boyfriend, they are both sent to prison for their crimes. The only luxury they have to look forward to now is a roof over their heads and three meals a day, much to the girl's anger and frustration.

Even when confronted by the police and her horrified parents, the daughter refuses to accept blame for her actions, even casting it on the housekeeper, claiming that none of this would have happened if she hadn't suggested that she move out. The parents say that all they wanted was for their daughter to become their own person, revealing that they were not born into wealth and comfort like she was and that they worked hard to get where they were. But they now realize that their daughter is too selfish, spoiled, and lazy to make it happen. The housekeeper says that now would be a good time to tell her about the changes they made to their will, much to the daughter's surprise. The parents reveal that the housekeeper convinced them to change their wills to leave everything to charity in the event that something happened to them, as a way of motivating her. They were going to tell her the day she moved out. The housekeeper says that even if her evil plan had succeeded, she wouldn't have gotten anything. The daughter flies into a rage and hatefully attacks the housekeeper but the police are able to restrain her before she can inflict any harm. As she is being arrested, she rants and rages against the housekeeper for ruining everything, calling her a stupid indigent servant. The housekeeper puts her in her place one last time, saying that no matter how clever she thinks she is, someone will always come along to put her in her place. The angry daughter asks her parents if they are going to let the servant talk to her that way, but they side with the housekeeper again and disown her. The housekeeper gives the police the address of the daughter's boyfriend so they can arrest him for being an accomplice to attempted murder. As she is being taken away, the daughter swears revenge against the housekeeper.
When she is alone with the couple, the housekeeper apologizes for not telling them about the cameras and offers to leave. The parents protest, saying that she is an even greater godsend than they thought as she saved their lives. They plead with her to stay and she agrees. She continues to serve them as their faithful housekeeper.
As for the daughter and her boyfriend, they are both sent to prison for their crimes. The only luxury they have to look forward to now is a roof over their heads and three meals a day, much to the girl's anger and frustration.
This is excellent. I was picturing your story idea in my mind as I was reading your comment. You have an good imagination and would be a excellent script writer for these stories.
