Funny! I was about to send it back to you when I realized about this. The red dot sight was already in a box to be sent back when I thought about using my prescription glasses to look through it and it immediately came up clear and crisp!
It’s crazy because a friend of my has a Holosun 507 and i use it a few days ago and looked great for me. I received mine today and it looks blurry. Did i get blind in a span of couples of days
Thank you so much for clearing this up for me. I was about to try to clean my brand new Green Dot with a Q-tip thinking that it already went bad even though I just bought it a few days ago and took it to the range today for the first time. I didn't notice any Distortion of the dot earlier today, it looked like a perfect dot, but just a few minutes ago I wanted to do some dry fire practice and noticed the dot look slightly elongated and I thought maybe something was blocking the reticle, but I thought to look up some videos first before I go messing with my brand new $250 optic LOL and I found your video first. I was diagnosed with having stigmatism when I was a kid so this makes sense. And earlier I was wide awake when I was at the range testing my Hellcat out for the first time with an optic on it and I didn't have a problem with the dot, but my eyes are slightly tired right now and I think that might be exacerbating my problem. My stigmatism is in my left eye but when I closed my left eye and looked through the window with my right eye after watching this, it suddenly turned into a perfect dot again. Sad thing is as I am actually left eye dominant but it's my left eye that has astigmatism. Maybe this will only happen to me when I'm tired. I'm even more tired now and I just looked through my optic and it's even worse LOL. I can still see the true Dot, it just looks like it has a little green stick on each side of it LOL
More people need to be aware of this. Didn't know I had astigmatism until I got my holosun scs, even thought I have a red dot on my other weapon, which is too a blurry dot. Used my phone camera to confirm it was my eyes. Using my right eye alone, it gets super blurry. Both eyes open, its much more manageable. Which can help in a lot of cqb scenarios.
I am nearsighted from computers and iPhones. I noticed this when I was 12 that my vision because extremely blurring after using my iPod for maybe 4 hours inches away from my face playing a game. Being a lifeguard and looking far away outside helps. My dad is a pilot and he sees far away.
For airsoft I have a red dot, I figured that it wouldn’t be a crisp dot like cod when I saw it, that was at an indoor field but the next week I was at a outdoor field and noticed that it did have the crisp dot. What would cause that?
I can relate with everything the guy in the left said, even with glasses. Red, green, doesn’t matter for me. For some reason, the circle dot on a Holosun 510c is crisper to astigmatic eyes than a 507C ou 508T. Prism optics are a God send. Too bad you can’t put them on pistols. I tried the peep sight method and it helps, almost as much as squinting your eyes. I’ve heard that polarized lenses also helps, I’m going to bring a micro red dot to a optometrist and test it out.

Glad to hear!
Take a picture through the lens with a camera. You'll soon find if it's an issue with the red dot or your eye.
Thanks for this tip.

I have this problem even with glasses. I'll be talking to the eye doctor about this soon.
This is gonna sound crazy but try opening both eyes when looking through your red dot helped me in more ways than one

i was about to send mine back until i put my glasses on lol
For people with astigmatism, should they get smaller moa dot or larger? Or it doesn't matter?

What if the the sight is clear and crisp through a magnifier but blurry when using just the optic?

I was about to get a refund. I asked another people and they said it’s a very clear dot. 😅

What is the peep sight method? And did the optometrist fix the problem?
