    I used to own a sedan but family space comes first. The best bet is keep your SUV and buy. Sedan for backup

    I agree with what this video except that i need to add one more advantage of Sedan over an SUV, Sedans generally have more trunk space when versus SUVs when all the seats are occupied, SUVs have a quite small trunk space when there are 7 people

    I agree with all your points especially If you're usually alone driving in the city or expressways. Even sub-compacts would be more practical than a SUV in that scenario. But if you have a family with at least 3 small children like yours, they will eventually grow bigger. I cringe when seeing sedans with the back hung really low due to heavy passengers and some cargo at the back.

      For a big family buy a van not an overrated SUV. SUVs have worst gas mileage and can carry less people.

    Well, most sub compact crossovers are of the same size if not smaller/shorter than a sedan like the Coolray, MG ZS, Tiggo 2 Pro, Nissan Kicks. These crossovers are also fuel efficient. Plus they offer better driving visibility and higher ground clearance to tackle floods, broken roads and towering humps.

    I couldn't agree more with what you've said sir Rey, that is why I'm glad I chose a sedan over a hatchback, comfy and roomier!

    for me the reasons i got an SUV is that
    1.There's no sunroof on some sedans cause i like to have that feeling inside the cabin that its not cramped
    2.Theres a bigger space compartment at the back for groceries and bags when we would go to the province
    3.Area where i live is prone to flooding and having a sedan would give me that flooding anxiety
    4. Im scared of getting a sedan due to the fact that some speed bumps are tall in which with an SUV you can feel comfortable going anywhere
    but if i do try to get a sedan i would prolly get a mazda 3 or the Civic

    Get a sedan! I wish I was in a situation where I could have. Instead I needed to get an SUV because I live out in the provinces. If roads were better I'd have gotten a used Audi or BMW.

    Hatchbacks! They got all the good stuff from Sedans while also having the sporty look of WRC cars. Too bad they're a dying breed on the up market, no thanks to Xovers, but hey there's till the Yaris and Mazda 2. 🙂

  • @mindfreeze0838
    @mindfreeze0838 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Sir Reagan, I'm going to have to disagree with you on a couple points. Firstly on the space and dimensions , there are quite a few sedans that while they are not as tall as SUV's they are just as wide and as long and are equally a pain to move in the city and park. In terns of fuel economy there are many crossovers that are just as if not even more fuel efficient than the Civic in this case. There are also many SUV's that pay attention to aero (probably not the most cost effective example but the Urus comes to mind). Finally a sedan is great if its just you and your spouse for the most part(cept when you are buying furniture for example), but if you have even one child, try going for a weekend away in a sedan, baby stuff is often large, oddly shaped and bulky, a sedans trunk most often cannot manage and if you're wife wants to sit with the baby in the back those seats cant fold down even if they could(many sedans don't allow that which is standard on a crossover and SUV). Sedans are cool for a relaxed ride but they aren't as flexible as a crossover or SUV.

    Fully agree with you dude! I just hope that EDSA and C5 will be asphalted and maintained just like SLEX (or NLEX)! Too many potholes and not to mention unevenness along these 2 national roads (and many other national roads) so that SEDAN will “survive” the “beatings”!

    Sedans are still comfier and handles better, such as Camry vs. Fortuner or even S-Class vs. G-Class. However, people are after the utility and ruggedness of "traditional" SUVs (PPV, BoF). It's a good thing we now have unibody SUVs (crossovers), as it is something in between.

      Las Crossover son casi tan bajos como un sedán digo la altura al suelo, no vale la pena dar tanto dinero por un Crossover, mejor un todo terreno de verdad o un sedán para la ciudad y carretera pavimentada,

    I personally love sedans, grew up with a Ford Taurus for 14 years as our family car, my first car was a Rav4 but my second car after high school which I still currently drive is a Honda Accord. We've had everything from sedans, trucks, and my Mom has a hatchback and my Dad has an SUV, which I'll admit is nice for when you have to move stuff but I just prefer having a sedan for better ride quality, better fuel economy, less expensive maintenance, and (it's more sporty imo plus they have better handling) I'd stick with a sedan personally.

    Im really contemplating a 2022 Civic RS vs 2022 HRV 1.5 Turbo. Considering that both have the same engine, do you think its a better move to go for the Civic RS and also considering that it costs a 100k or so more than the HRV 2022? To add to that question, do you think a Civic RS (sedan) considering its smaller package has a better fuel economy vs the HRV turbo that weighs more? If so by how much? Thanks for the reviews! You and SooJooCars helped me decide to get the 2022 Terra and now Im in the market for my 2nd car I really hope you reply to my comment. Thank you!

      The Civic RS has better cabin materials and nicer driving dynamics than the HRV. Should be more fuel efficient as well even if they have the same engine.

    Wheels, battery, insurance, brakes, and suspension parts come at a lower cost in a sedan. Wheels and batteries on SUVs come in at an average of 10k a piece as compared to sedan counterparts, and these are regularly serviced parts.
    Having a sedan repainted or covered with ceramic coating will cost significantly less than their bigger counterparts.
    If these savings are important to you, and you don't need 7 seats, I also recommend a sedan. But if your wife disagrees, and she wants and SUV. You get an SUV no questions asked haha

    • @mindfreeze0838
      @mindfreeze0838 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The price of parts often depends more on the manufacturer more than anything. I have found front end suspension parts for instance, just as expensive as their SUV counterparts, but that brand in particular has expensive parts.

    Agreee ako sa lahat sinabi ni sir,but sadly sedan is hindi na masyado mabenta compare sa pick up truck & SUV, in fact over 70% of our vehicles here are dominated by pick up truck & SUV combined. There's a reason behind why the sedan is less attractive to buyer and instead opted for pick up truck & SUV.

      Speaking as a contemporary VW owner: for as long as you know where to get parts for it, then by all means. Ordinary autos supply are scared to even touch a VW, not even a generic part such as a fuse hindi ka bebentahan. Also, an E46 BMW has more parts available than a SAIC-VW (Santana, Lamando, Lavida)

    How about Sedan vs Hatchback?

  • @knot3d_
    @knot3d_ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    SUV ecological footprint is always bigger than that of a sedan&hatchback - in both production process (resources), fueleconomy (big blocky shapes = worse air resistance) and last but not least....the more masses of people drive SUV, the more wear & tear to the frail infrastructure. It is the compounding effect of masses of heavy vehicles that wear down the roads , causing potholes, especially in rainy season. The manufacturers can produce tSUV's at profit, but the direct side effects of masses of SUV's on the earth and the infrastructure will always be bigger than that of sedans& hatchbacks. The ripple effect of SUV's dominating the market will be a big cost on the earth we will all have to pay down the line. Change starts with yourself. Think about it, if you REALLY need an SUV (especially if you're residing in the big city) .
