I love Tom Brown's tracker knife concept. You actually made a good one, except for one little thing. The knife is conceived and built to assist the tracker in building a bow, and that is why it has to have a straight part you can use to tapper and shape the bow. The next feature on the cutting edge is a slight curve for rounding arrows and a gut-hook before the edge becomes the axe part, and that is the challenge with this knife, because you go from a 25° edge to a 30-35° if you follow the concept exactly. The saw-teeth on the spine is for the groves and the nock on the bow, and at least 1 tooth should have a grind for cutting wire.
The last blade feature is the saddle, and this is to rest the knife on your knee while you are rounding arrows or making feather-sticks for tinder and such.. some have a few more features in the handle, but the main concept is the blade, all though a knife is 50% blade and 50% handle in my book.
Most people just know it because it was used in a movie, but it's definitely not a fighting knife. It's far too heavy and couldn't pierce a thick uniform even if it wanted to in its dreams 😂 but I love seeing the different things that people do with the tracker, but it actually stops being a tracker if you leave out the features, but again that is just a different point between nerds. I just don't think any other knife can call itself the true Swiss army knife in bushcraft, but that's being contested by many knife makers every day, which I think is absolutely beautiful..
Yes yes, there is much more behind a simple knife. This one in question is rounded on purpose, because I made this one at the request of a client who asked me for it like this. 👍👍👍

Без проблем, друже. Це польовий ніж для подрібнення більшої кількості сировини, як-от деревина та гілки, і він дуже добре працює для створення тирси для розпалювання вогню, це робить це набагато простіше. 👍👍👍

It looks like it’s only half decent at chopping and good at feather sticks, but I’d bet it sucks at food prep or any kind of slicing. And what’s all that stuff in the spine? Your work looks good but that knife looks like it sucks at most knife tasks.
Dude, this is a field knife, it's not a knife to be used in the kitchen, for delicate cuts, this is a coarse knife, for cutting wood, firewood, branches, not for cutting meat. So yes, it's terrible for those types of cuts you mentioned, but for rougher things it's ideal. 👍👍👍

@@MakerHA Aluminum is softer. It will still tear up an expensive blade. I buy plastic push sticks/blocks from Amazon for cheap😆. Nothing smells worse than dull blade through walnut! Smells like ass and mold……..
