With all due respect I do not believe the equivocation with the Hadith of Ifq is related to this incident. An investigation was DONE and evidence provided and arrest made based on that evidence. The community has right to be horrified and condemn this individuals actions. No one jumped to accuse, the evidence was provided first. Also no one celebrated this news or were happy to hear what he did. We were devastated and horrified.
The example of Zinq is NOT relevant to cases of child abuse. Rape is not equivalent to Adultery between two consenting adults in the Shariah and CHILD ABUSE is definitely not equivalent. Really disappointed that the respected sheikh responded in this way.

I think his point is we don't know if the evidence is real or not. In other words, we will never know of its actually true or not. In the end let the courts do their job and we should keep our mouths shut to avoid defamation in case we are wrong. Refer to 07:30 in the video.

@@giovannioro1642 The point is in Islam a person honour is a right , before we have every social media youtube influencer/sheigh jump on the fitnah train, they should rather remain silent and let the authorities deal with the evidence and prove the person is guilty. Now everyone is sensationalizing this issue without due process,It has become this easy to drag people names through the mud, what is worse, the person spreading the rumours or the person who committed it.

I would encourage the shuyookh and content creators to take this into consideration:
    i) Speak from a trauma informed lens and check your emotional intelligence.
ii) Bear in mind that in your audience, there are victims that have or are being silenced, oppressed and isolated by their abusers. Address existing victims to make sure they are comforted. While you want to stop the keyboard warriors, you have to prioritize victims and not exacerbate their injury further.
iii) Be cognizant of unintended spiritual bypassing. Theological guidelines are frequently weaponized by 'people of knowledge' to oppress, gaslight and demonize victims, sometimes even coerce them.
I struggled to watch this 50 minutes; the first thirty minutes sounded like the traumatic investigation victims go through and the second half sounds like heavily biased "dignitaries" who generally place the burden of forgiveness, rationalization & mercy on the victim. This is exactly how victims and weaker people in society are abandoned & isolated from the 'strong body' of the ummah.

He also says that if something must be immediately reported to the police by law, then you should do that first - eg child abuse. The accused may be arrested and in jail at this point. Also Shariah is not easy on these kind of crimes- some SA cases under shariah are punishable by death to the abuser. This person does not go back to being a protected member of society afterwards. Maybe send emails to madrassas (3) Tell the community to focus on themselves and their family, leave what do no concern them. I think that the sheikh has dwelt a lot on the point of not spreading the news. Although it's true from the Shari'a perspective, it should be highly emphasised that this is a severely punishable sin. The Quran explicitly tells us that a large number of those involved in propagating religion are not close to God "Verily, there are many of the rabbis and the monks who devour the wealth of mankind in falsehood, and hinder from the way of Allah" (Tawbah verse 34). God does not send down angels to prevent immoral people from working in churches or mosques or synagogues. It is our job to distinguish between moral people and immoral people in the houses of God and not to blindly "revere" anyone who wears a cross or grows a beard. God commands us not to follow preachers or pastors or imams and to follow His verses. People who obey "men of God" in things God forbade are themselves not close to God.

Help your brother who is oppressed.
Help your brother who is an oppressor, by stopping him.
I found the mention of sharia unclear as there is halal and haraam, commands and prohibitions, but sharia is not implemented partially or within non-Islamic legislation.
We are all accountable and should know Islam and try to study and learn the wisdom of Islam by seeking knowledge.
Injustice without an appropriate response due to the absence of Islam.
We need to learn and implement Islam.

@purplelove3666 dear one. The protection for the victim is there, if handled properly. What this video and the advice are about is guarding our souls by protecting each other when news comes to us. What to say initially to gain the pleasure of Allah and taking it to the proper authorities. Which, by the way, is not myself. You may be a judge, social worker, or law enforcement officer. Me, just someone who visits youtube and would like for a case to be tried in a court of law and proven and not tried in the court of lay people and youtube bloggers.

"feminine" can be misinterpreted, in the original english meaning of the word, "feminine" means "manly" or the word "women" in the original meaning of the word means "we men" (manly women) and that is what the shariah command to the ettiquette/behaviour of female folks when around non-mahram males.
the correct terminology is that sisters should not be "frivolous/scantly" around non-mahram male folks.

Anyone that has clear proof should just report them to the authorities they are registered with , to save their religion and themselves and their children.

Why do Muslims want to go into the details partivularly of pornography ? It's enough to prove that the crime was committed, and we need to check that proof. That's our only job, not to examine and expose the details of crimes by Muslims.. Then our responsibility as Muslims is how we will help and support victims in our communities to recover That's it.

Innocent until proven guilty, in a court of law.
    AND
If it doesn't affect you, keep your mouth quiet. Do not gossip or even just convey even if you see it, unless its to a person of knowledge. Just conveying something you see to a regular person opens yourself to punishment.
