@@avengirl6479 I know she's really really amazing and deserved the alternate spot, I'm hoping to see her later this year hopefully as I've already seen lily who was also brilliant 👏☺️.
I got to see Dean a few times as Val Jean and was blown away. Previously I had seen Alfie so those were big shoes to fill. I remember wondering when I saw Dean how he'd be as Phantom so it was thrilling to see he is now in that role. I can't get to London this year so thank you for this audio.
I was there for this! I didn't realise it was the new cast that night but it was amazing. Dean got emotional with the standing ovations and cheers. They all deserved it.
I just saw the show last night. I was blown away by Dean. I’ve seen 7 phantoms. Michael Crawford, of course, is the greatest. But Dean was electrifying. He was easily my second best phantom I’ve seen. I’ve see all the others on Broadway and Pantages in Los Angeles
I’ve known Dean for many years, I’m so glad you enjoyed his portrayal, he is incredible. I’ve seen him in almost all his roles (though I’m slightly biased) he always manages to bring something special to his characters.
i had the opportunity to see phantom 3 times in july, and i saw eve and chumisa as christines, and both of them were just amazing! i’ll miss chumisa, but definitely eve deserves this role!! ❤
@@RedHandedJill I mean, I have no real idea when exactly they slowed it down as I'm only speaking about my own trip, but if they were playing slower at your performance then it shows they're being consistent. They've added at least 10 minutes to the runtime compared to this take. It's drastic
Thanks for uploading! I like the new Phantom, even though you can hear he's a little nervous. Still, his interpretation is great and I hope his acting is too. The only downside is that the music is really fast. In some places, it doesn't fit at all like with MOTN or Wandering Child.
Well please tell him that this American was blown away by his voice. I texted my friends and told them that this phantom is electrifying and if I lived in London I’d have to make it a monthly date.
the final lair seemed so fast :( like they just couldn't wait to get their next sentence out lol. (I know the orchestra fir the london production is faster jow in some places but still...to me its the most beautiful/emotional part of the show so sucks that it seems rushed in my opinion.
@emirachelnatalie3397 I agree. Out of interest, I compared this Final Lair and the original CD. CD: 10:20 mins. Show: 9:45 mins. BUT the drum after the kiss only lasts 8 seconds on the CD, whereas in the show it now lasts 20 seconds. So yes Final Lair is certainly at a faster pace and a full minute shorter. :(

Dean’s voice is amazing! So strong and pure. And Eve is phenomenal as always. So glad she gets to shine twice a week (or more!)
Agreed 😊
Eve is one of the most legendary Christines I have ever heard. Thank God she's an alternate now because now everyone can see her more

The Carlotta (Joanna Ampil) was amazing and funny and has given a fresher take on the role. ❤❤❤
Looking forward to seeing / hearing how Dean develops his Phantom. Fantastic start.

For those who don't know, Dean was the u/s Raoul in LND at the Adelphi
Am glad to report that they have slowed the tempo(s) down significantly as of 30th October. This must have been early hijinks

Think the speed may be due to Dean just being very nervous on his first show? I doubt it’s this quick normally anymore
The music itself is faster unfortunately
Большое спасибо)
Thank you. Very fast tempo overall ....we need some of those emotional beats to play out a bit more. But, modern life I guess.
Michael Ball needs to be cast at the Phantom. Btw they need to slow down MOTN, especially “Let your mind…..”
Music of the night is so fast 😭💀
I know. Especially the "let your mind" to "soul take you where you long to be". Those are my favorites and I can't believe they speed it up
