Honestly, after the time skip I was theorizing too. Mostly because Oda refuses to show the training arks of the strawhats. But now I am sure it's just an artstyle choice from oda and I like the idea that Mihawks training was so difficult that it was not possible to endure it without some kind of permanent dmg.
Zoro's ( as well as Shanks and Mihawk) worst fans do make the fanbase a bit polarized. More so than the worst fans of other characters.
Yeah it's a shame because I like zoro but his fans put me off his character a bit because they always have to downplay other characters especially sanji to make zoro look better

Also pay attention and you'll see he throws a lot of shade at Sanji like mocking Sanji for not having conquerors which what a lot of Zoro fans do even though Sanji has germa genes and fire powers. Or mocking Sanjis romance with pudding and implying zoro is a real chad.

Pretty sure he said zoro didn’t go all out before king but hey, I might be wrong. Also, pretty sure all the sanji teasing is supposed to be jokes (aside from the way sanji behaves to a lot of female characters in one piece which is very much creepy)
@@xoooxzzzz5744 I don't want to paint the picture that GL is just a zoro fanboy I think he makes good content and isn't above making fun of Zoro or other characters but I did notice that he makes fun of Sanji and downplays him alot more then other characters.
Like I wouldn't have picked up on it if it wasn't that he teased Sanji much more then other characters and always compares him negatively to Zoro.
Also if GL just mocked Sanji being a pervert I wouldn't complain as that is the worst aspect of him but GL usually mocks everything but that while constantly playing up Zoro.
Also when talking about Zoros fight with King he says that zoro still hasn't gone all out. So he also over hypes zoro.
Not trying to hate on GL I really like his content I'm just pointing out that he does have a bias to Zoro. However compared to most zoro fans GL is far better and fairer.

about the theory of zoro's death in chapter 944, never heard of it, but in the panel in question in his back on the t-shirt is written "ultimo", this is an italian word that means "last" or "last one" opposite of "primo" "first", so if that means something it doesn't look good for our zoro

The crazy ideas are one thing. Every fan has crazy ideas. Its the extreme toxicity from the typical guy towards those ideas being debunked and anyone who isnt a zoro radical. It was bad.

I only started watching the anime because I wanted my One Piece fix after binging the live action season so I wasn't aware there were any theories about One Piece outside of how messed up a world with so much seawater would actually be. Which even then isn't so much a theory about One Piece so much as it is an interesting dissertation on the reality of non-magic worlds.
Thank goodness for One Pace though, some of those filler arcs were a real slog.

Here's an interesting thought (though unrelated to this video) - What if Luffy doesn't activate Gear 5 (or Joy Boy mode), but activates itself? If I'm not mistaken (and if so, I apologize) the only time we actually saw Luffy activating, or reactivating Gear 5 was during his battle with Kaido, after he briefly lost his powers and aged. Other Gear 5 appearances?
- Luffy vs. Luci (rematch) - They meet on Egghead Island and start fighting, manga jumps to the other Strawhats meeting Vegapunk, who shows a camera image where Luffy and Luci are already fighting in their awakened forms.
- Luffy vs Kizaru - Kiazru kicks Lufy off the island, reaches the Strawhats and Vegapunk then gets caught by the giant Luffy in Gear 5 mode and they continue fighting.
Is it possible that the Awakened Zoans (or at least the mythical ones) can choose for themselves when to transform the user into his Awakened Form? Gorosei themselves have said that this particular type of fruit seems to have a consciousness of their own.

Gear 5th is the power of imagination, his old man form is just the subconscious manifestation of his fatigue. He looks that way because he FEELS that way. Once he awakened his df his body even at base is more than just rubber. But luffy still hasn’t caught up with his DF yet, even now. He’ll get even stronger.
At the start of the fight with Kaido, I could believe that Zoro would beat him. I mean, it would be crazy for him to defeat an yonko, but there was two of them, and someone could arguee that Zoro was the second strongest fighter in our side. Zoro killing Kaido while Zoro defeating Big mom at the same time would be crazy but not that crazy. Now, even thinking that for a second after gear 5 is ridiculous.
Zoro just keeps casually getting so lost he starts pulling abilities from other series.

My Zoro theory is, that to be the worlds greatest swordsman he needs to beat ST Ethan-Baron. In my theory now, or later, he is/will be (considered) the greatest swordsman and not Mihawk.
Either
a) Mihawk dies by him so Zoro now has a different final Arc opponent, or
b) Ethan-Baron already is the greatest swordsman and Mihawk knows it. The reputation of Mihwak being the greatest one makes him uneasy/is shameful to him, so that's why he is living in the shadows.
Meanwhile, getting the information of Ethan-Baron being the greatest swordsman out to the public/pirate world is not an option for obvious reasons.
Mihawk has to live with it / is being hostage to the info.

Here's a theory I feel holds some water that I think is worth looking into. Jesus Burgess is a Buccaneer. Now this can easily be debunked by the fact that Kuma is 11 feet taller than Burgess, even though they both have that body shape. But what makes the theory strong is their insane pain tolerance.
My favorite theories were that it was Enel that was saving the Red Scabbards after they were defeated by Kaido and that King was Gin from the Baratie arc under that mask XD

The only Zoro theory I believe is that Zoro actually has the voice of all things and that's why he's always getting lost, but he doesn't just have the voice of all things, but his voice is constantly telling him to go towards the One Piece. So when the Straw Hats make it to Laugh Tale, Zoro will instinctively know where to go.

If there's one thing that Id love to see Oda to with Zoro is to actually give him an ability from a different anime. Considering the massive amount of Zoro gets lost in "insert anime verse" memes, it would be simply ridiculous and hilarious and something all anime fans would enjoy, if in the final arc we'd hear Zoro actually yell Bankai or open his left eye and reveal his sharingan like Kakashi in OG Naruto

I like to troll my son about Zoro going traitor and will go after Luffy once he's Pirate King - but I don't really see that playing out. I do like the theory that Zoro is always getting lost because he's always walking toward the One Piece (or some relic important to his development). However, this is a common trope - wanderer not sure where they're going/lost, but always end up where they need to be type thing.
Sometime I don't understand that why did straw hat does not just give zero a diary and compass by doing this his direction problem will be solved
You know, I recently watched a video about Reddit "Apes" (i.e. people who buy and hold on to "meme stocks"), and how they basically deluded themselves into thinking nearly everything said by certain people they follow is a coded message specifically for them, from random, ambiguous tweets to literal children's books. The analysis of that one zombie-themed colorspread is just a LITTLE bit too close to how the Apes went about analyzing the "Teddy" children's book series, which is kind of scary IMO, especially in how everything that could disprove their theories are just "red herrings" or stuff that only enhances and justifies their own theory. Is this what it means to be conspiratorially-minded? To have literally everything in existence be there to justify your conspiracy theory?

My Zoro theory is that Zoro will end up with Nami. There are several points within the story that suggest this.
1.) Opposites attract: Zoro is the terrible with navigation and Nami is the best navigator
2.) Zoro respects Nami: he is the only strawhat that didnt peek on her in the bath in Alabasta
3.) Pirate king symbolism: if Zoro is Luffys Rayleigh Nami is Shakky as shown by their good timeline appearance. Suggesting Zoro ends up with Nami.
4.) One Piece live action: This media heavily inferred Zoro x Nami shipping to the point where the directors had to go out of their way to address it.
5.) Sanji: Sanji giving up on Nami to Zoro of all people will show that their once venemous rivalry has developed into a beautiful friendship finally ending the strawhats longest feud. It would also come full circle as the feud initially started because Zoro was the only one who held no love for Nami.
This is why whenever i hear Zoro fanatics (not fans since they're cool, the fanatics are the problem) say anything, i don't ever really listen because it's as ridiculous as "Zoro kills kaido." Such claims include.
Mihawk is a fraud he cheated to beat Zoro at Baratie.
Sanji cannot be one of the wings of the pirate king because he betrayed Luffy on wholecake, and if Zoro were there, he would have killed sanji on the spot for his treachery.
Zoro will always no diff sanji no matter how much stronger either of them get.

Man it looks like so many people have been gaslit into thinking Luffy beat Kaido, but remember guys, Zoro went into gear 5th and cut Kaido to ribbons while Luffy did NOTHING! Meanwhile Oda has been manipulating his audience and covering the truth up. This devious man can't keep getting away with rewriting history!
I honestly could see Zoro turning in Luffy when his life is about to be over. Considering they've put out foreshadowing throughout the series that he has been shortening his lifespan by forefully making his body go through alterations to make him stronger. Like Gear 2 when he was first doing it was supposedly shortening his lifespan, then there was the thing in Impel Down IIRC where he got poisoned and had to have surgery that also shortened his lifespan.
So at the end of the series he goes to have himself turned in with Zoro being the person to turn him in... It would be nice if he turns himself into Garp and gets pardoned assuming all of the big threats from the World Government are gone and Garp is a high enough leading figure within whatever is left of the Marines to make that pardon for Luffy.

As someone who started one piece what…20 years ago when i was 11….I really don’t understand this in fighting that has developed. Zoro is his right hand man, a badass, and a member of the crew. If you hate a member of the crew, then go watch something else 🤷🏻♂️

I cannot agree with you more. *But* One Piece has NEVER done the forced-to-fight-your-friends trope. And that's really strange considering how important the relationships between the strawhats is. The closest we got was the shadow zombies on Thriller Bark. I think it would make a lot of sense if someone like Imu has the power to straight up mind control people without immense haki. It would be a super simple explanation as to how they have stayed in power: You'd need an army to even get to them, and if you do - you'll get killed by your own army.
So my prediction is that Luffy, Zoro, Sanji & Jinbei will be forced to fight the rest of the strawhats - which is honestly a pretty cool. Like, *how* do you even defeat Robin without hurting her?

my crazy theory on Zoro's eye is that it's just an aesthetic decision on the part of Oda to make the character look cooler. He didn't even bother to make an in-world excuse because it doesn't matter

Oda has said that his characters control the story. Not him. So clearly he means it literally.
Or because his left eye is closed, Sanjis right eye is covered, mimicking that Zoro is Luffys right hand and sanji his left hand
I think his eye is a part of his training. He spent a bunch of time with his other eye closed & now he is doing the same training for the other eye. Observation haki training lol

The crazy thing about Zoro defeating a dragon for the 3rd time, is that it kinda happened when he defeated King, because all the dinosaur DF's are classified as dragons. Yet the theorists decided to double down on Zoro taking down Kaido himself and ended up looking like clowns
Yeah pretty much all the evidence boils down to “Zoro will probably defeat a dragon on wano” which he did do when slicing through King’s magma dragon attack. I hope Oda put all those breadcrumbs out there on purpose just to troll Zoro fans with the magma dragon instead of Kaido himself.

The irony is that I put in my One Piece group chat that Zoro should be the one to defeat Kaido, without hearing about the ZKK thing til months later.
For me it was about him carrying the legacy of Oden and finishing (not killing) kaido with the most legendary Shi-shi son-son using Enma. Imagine the hype. But I also said Oda would never do that cuz main character
