Regeneration defined is to return something to its' original state. This is what repentance followed by water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins brings about. Remission of sins is the forgiveness of our sins based on the shed blood of Christ on an Individual, spiritual level. During water baptism the Holy Spirit circumcises our conscience, removing the guilt from past sins, and restoring to it its' original childlike sensitivity to sin. Just as repentance is incomplete without water baptism, water baptism is incomplete without Spirit baptism. Water baptism and Spirit baptism are two parts of one baptism essential to the new birth.
Praise the Lord my brother. I have been raised in the, "Apostolic/Pentecostal" faith. As I have been taught, and even in my own study over the years, we are in agreement. Unfortunately there are many errors that I have encountered in the, "denomination" in which I belong, which I also address in some videos I have posted. But this is what I have been taught, not in this exhaustive way but yes, I agree with you. So again from the Pentecostal/Apostolic church(s) this is what we understand.
The Holy Spirit is recieved as the result of the Holy Spirit baptism. Which is to be filled to overflowing with the Spirit. The word "recieve" in the N.T. original Greek means " to take hold of". So the way to recieve the Holy Spirit is" to take hold of" the filling through fervent prayer. Once the Lord answers your prayer and fills you with the Spirit you must then surrender the last vestige of your will, your tongue. The Word says that no man can tame his tongue (James 3:8). Man can't but God can. You consciously yield your tongue to the Holy Spirit until He "tames" it and enables you to speak in the spiritual language that our English translation calls " tongues". As the Spirit baptism ( overflow) occurs the Holy Spirit joins with your spirit, becoming one, forever the remain within you. This is recieving the Holy Spirit. Lastly, in the O.T. the prophets had the Spirit of God come upon them and fill them but then depart for a time because God had no yet allowed man to be born of the Spirit which results in " the anointing that abideth" ( 1John 2:27)
Can we PLEASE address all of these "Emotionalism Pastors" with all of these hipster pop-up churches, dressing like they're in a Drake video Lol...They deliver nothing from the word, but they have THOUSANDS of examples and props on stage during their sermons amd messages. You know those guys Pastor Damon, straight emotionalism ZERO scriptural teachings. #Smh
They are the same thing to me. When The Holy Spirit comes on a person He is there to stay. I do not believe when He comes that its temporary on His terms.
My mom is always saying white churches are not "filled with the holy ghost"? Does any other black parents say this? Can you do a study on the mark of beast..
You fail to remember the diversities of tongues such as the unknown tongues that accompany being filled with the Holy Ghost. Revisit your teaching brother. Min Harrison
In the original Greek ,that the N.T. was written in, our English word " tongues" is singular not plural and means " another language" and " a language".
Thank you Br.Damon for good teaching, which is lacking so much in the churches today. I have learn so much by listening to your videos.
Thank you for this teaching
I always felt away when people said that after one had been saved that they needed to tarry for the holy ghost.
Incredible teaching! Very edifying.
Thanks for sharing brother Damon. This was a good topic.
🔥🔥🔥
So Helpful...
So Powerful...
BIG THANKS BRO...!
💯
This is so good🙌🙌🙌👏👏

I know this was posted a few years ago, but this is exactly how I feel now a days! It’s scary that things have gotten progressively worse.
All believers have the Spirit but not all believers are not filled with the Holy Spirit. Indwelt but not all Spirit filled Bro Damon. Min Harrison
Hey I like the Video, since this was published 3 years ago is there anything else you have realized or need to address or add?
They are the same thing to me. When The Holy Spirit comes on a person He is there to stay. I do not believe when He comes that its temporary on His terms.
God bless pastor Richardson. What happened to the "Who taught you" video? Why was it taken down?
Yes I'd like to watch that one over again too🙌🏾
My mom is always saying white churches are not "filled with the holy ghost"? Does any other black parents say this? Can you do a study on the mark of beast..
Is there different degrees of being filled with the spirit?
Getting in water isn’t the cure for dehydration. That’s the difference! Lol
Wonder Filled Nice one lol
