They're my favorite duo in the whole show! I've always described it as Dennis thinking Charlie is too stupid or unhinged (because he often is) to feel threatened or irritated by him, and this being an excuse for him to let loose a little more around him. Charlie, on the other hand, can see through all of Dennis' posturing just like he can the others and takes advantage of it to have a partner in crime in ways he can't with Mac. Also it's funny as shit and they're both terrible awful people.
Charlie can see right through all of dennis’ bullshit but he still loves him anyway. True friendship.

in Charlie's dance, he eats Dennis's eyes, and then his eyes become part of Charlie's , essential having Dennis become a part of him, and that made Dennis do a pleasant gasp, I think Charlie subconsciously tapped into Dennis's desire in the song

The thing about Charlie and Dennis’s friendship is that it doesn’t rely on being dependent on each other like Mac. Both Charlie and Dennis are guys who pretty much do whatever they want.
Mac used to be a fun guy to be around, but his faith, lifestyle definitely is made Charlie and Dennis resent him. Even Dee is considered more likable than Mac, cause at least Dee isn’t trying to bang them or force them to grease dudes like Mac does.
At 5:00 minutes you can see Charlie break character for a second when Dennis yells at him to get off and Charlie has to look away from the camera to avoid smiling on the scene.

i’m afraid the other duos (besides frank and mac i believe?) have already been done by other channels. my bestie @inaturtlesdream has some great comps of the other pairings and as much as i adore charlie and dee there’s already a fantastic one out there!
