    the coffee is cheap. it is the cartel and the rent that makes the end product expensive. am not sure why they kept on making this commodity expensive. I will support Generation Coffee

    Great job Generation coffee!
    I've said this many times, there's always no seats at starbucks, means they are priced too low, they should at least quadruple their prices to enjoy better margins an regulate in-store traffic.

    I love the cappuccino and lattes from Generation Coffee. I visit them since they started their business at Tekka Hawker centre. I even bought their coffee beans to make my own lattes at home. 🫘 What’s lovely is their prices which is only a fraction of what you pay at the cafes. Honestly speaking, Barista coffee ☕️ sold in SG cafeterias, restaurants, Starbucks, Coffee Bean are way overpriced. In Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam etc …that cuppa costs much less. 😅

    I thought Hawker Stalls must be manned by the owner themselves? You can hire assistants but the owner must be around.

    I wonder what is the ratio of traditional coffee vs gourmet coffee for them.

      Traditional coffee's actually more popular than specialty coffee across all their branches, with 70% of their sales coming from traditional coffee for their Tekka and Bedok branches, and 60% for the other two branches (that see more of an office crowd)!

    I don’t believe Finland is top drinking country per capita. It’s definitely Australia hands down

    Selling better coffee than the big companies at a cheaper price. But most people only cares about the brand.

      When you buy a cup of coffee over a certain price you are inevitably also paying for seats in a comfortable environment.

      @@manofthehour_ If that's the case, why do people still take away? I guess they are paying for the logo on the cup too.

      @@abcVegeBreads That was the case for Starbucks in the past.
      They takeaway because of the convenience but yes doesn't make sense to pay for $$$ take away coffee because 30-35% of that price goes back to paying rent to our amazingly wealthy landlords in SG.

      @@abcVegeBreads poor sense of value. I would never order a takeaway at yakun for example

    It isn’t the norm to pay $7-$8 for a cuppa. That’s profiteering.

    • @rayt2324
      @rayt2324 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah because almost 30-35% of that goes to rental. Thanks to our amazing landlords in SG.
