Ever since they showed up in The Clone Wars, I've loved Hunter and Tech. I was thrilled when Tech got some more screen time in this season, and I couldn't stop crying. My heart broke for them all, but Wrecker, whos greatest fear is heights, watched his brother fall to his death. That was just a knife to the heart, and then Hemlock has the AUDACITY to bring Tech's glasses because 'this is all I could salavge.' KRIFF HEMLOCK, he's the worst!
If Tech truly is dead that is an insult since he went down there to use the body for "salvage" disgusting

What you also gotta remember is Wrecker is physically the strongest of the squad. And he wasn't strong enough to hold the carriage to save his brother 😢
If I recall correctly, Tech was the only one in the squad who somewhat understood Cross-hair and was more of a friend to him. So this will probably tip him over the edge and he'll come running back to the squad to help his brothers.

Tech sacrificing himself to save the others hit me as hard as it was when Kanan did it
A lot of parallels between them really with a goodbye before between someone special.
When Kanan died I just thought “oh wow his plot armour must have lagged or something”. Rebels annoyed me because it never really had any tension. We all knew it was for kids and most the crew would live till the end.
@@mrstar1038 Before watching the episode with Kanan rescuing Hera, I texted a friend my thoughts on Rebels and said something to the effect of "there are no serious consequences and repercussions with this show. Not like TCW where there were a lot of deaths." 20 minutes later I just text him back like "fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck...I spoke too soon."
I'm still pissed that I got both Kanan and Tech's deaths spoiled lol

Tech is my favorite and as much as I dont want him to be gone, I think bringing him back would ruin how emotional that scene was. It was such a heroic way for my boy to go out and I'm proud of him.
It would be extremely screwed up if he came back as one of those unmarked dark troopers
Season 2 is without a doubt The Empire Strikes Back of The Bad Batch. The heroes get their asses kicked, the empire has what they want, and there was a massive twist of a surprise relative.

In a way I think this is the best ending for this show.
They lost. It’s sad and depressing. And it’s essential to have some actual stakes like when we lose someone.
yeah, thinking the same, if Tech is dead, then this changes everything as I thought for sure none of them in clone 99 would die, accept maybe Crosshair.
True i hate happy endings in star wars, thats why i love episode 3 so much.
The thing is I loved tech but I hope they don’t bring him back he had a brilliant character arc and I don’t think he needs anymore story to his character. So In short words don’t do what they did with palpatine

The fact that Hunter now has Tech's goggles is important. Remember the Keerdaks? Tech records EVERYTHING. ANd the little cylinder on the right side of his goggles is, I believe, a Star Wars Go Pro type thing.
I am very sure that Hunter or Echo will realize they have footage, and when they play it, they confirm that Tech was picked up and taken by Hemlock. And thanks to that video, now Hunter knows about Tantiss and how to get there.
This is in line with the whole “if there is no body they are alive” pattern
@@lonelypancake5979 And even if Hemlock is telling the truth, and all they recovered was the goggles, he STILL took the goggles to Tantiss with him! If the camera was recording at all times, and The Batch now have the camera, then they have a path they can follow to lead them right to Crosshair and Omega.
Honestly hope it gets confirmed he’s dead. I’m tired of shows playing with peoples emotions and “killing off” characters just to bring them back sooner or later. They would have to explain the hell out of how he somehow survived that fall with that giant metal transport basically falling on top of him.

I didn't knew so many people loved Tech too... God they really knocked us out. My fan heart wants for him to make a great reappearance, but really I think he deserves to be the hero that sacrificed all for his comrades. Rest in Peace soldier.
I keep coming back to 5:50. Echo lost every brother from his old squad, and now he's lost a brother from his new one too...will someone cut this man a break from the endless trauma?

I just found out last week Emerie Karr's voice actor is Keisha Castle-Hughes. The same actress that played Queen Apailana of Naboo. Who I have a sneaky suspension that is where Kelleran Beq took Grogu to.

As much as I want Tech back. We all saw the debris is right on top of him. By the time he landed, that debris must’ve smashed his entire body. With that little detail, it makes sense he’s actually dead. If you think water is down there, at that fall is still equal to hitting a concrete ground regardless. Even the distance/gap between Tech & the debris is that close, there’s no way he’d avoid it while in water.
This episode really is a speedrun of Yoda’s “Fear is the path to the dark side” speech. I felt fear, anger, hate, and suffering in pretty rapid succession.
Also, to the people at Lucasfilm Animation, I’m gonna need that Season 3 as soon as possible, thank you.

Mean yea we didn’t see a body, but it’d be more impactful to stay dead. Plus the train cart was falling right above him so if the fall didn’t kill him getting crushed by the cart did

I love the reference to 99, with the plan 99, I really hope he’s not dead. All my favorite clones die to fight with also my favorite out of all the clones. And I cry every time I see his death in the clone wars. Tech is now my second clone death that gives me the most emotion. An honor to fives and tech true clowns that stay loyal and protected their brothers until the end and looked out for them.
I’ve seen the scene where Tech dies so many times and it still makes my heart pound in anxiety. It’s incredibly tense and so heartbreaking. Wrecker’s struggle to keep the cart up and his desperate “nooooooo!” still gets me.

I was going to post the same thing. if you don't see a body, then there is always hope, and it's what I'm hanging on to.
Also, Tech did have a zip-line type of device he shot across the gap to get to the terminal he tapped into, maybe could've used that to shoot and latch on to something, googles could fall off during that.

Yeah, I'm kind of in the same boat on this one. Fall off screen, don't see the body, villain gives broken goggles and brings it with him to brag to the other clones he claims to not give a shit about "that its the only part of Tech that was still salvageable". I'm very much sitting on the wall of dead here.

Lets remember. EVERYTHING went wrong because Saw couldn't see the big picture. EVERYTHING failed because of Saw.
Hunter is going to enter the Joel Miller era until he finds Omega. Also if Admiral Trench, R2-D2, and Echo can survive death so can Tech. But I guess the real question is who was the most hated character of Star Wars, Cid, Saw, or Máster Krell, Rampart, or Dr. Hemlock???
I was thinking that. Hunter may be unwilling to help anyone after what happened with Cid. He wouldn't be out adventuring any, just focused on finding anything with connections to Omega and Hemlock

I love how Tech closes his eyes during his fall. He just accepts it. And considering those glasses, I unfortunately have to assume he died a painful death in the cold winters of Eriadu.

For everyone who thinks tech survived you gotta remember not only he fell from a great height but had a large piece of machinery fall on top of him. It’s hard to find a body if it has been pulverized

It is highly implied that Tech really did sacrificed himself due the fall and the goggles that Hem-I'm next season's main villain and the community's new punching bag-lock brings but if we go by Disney-verse they technically have one character that survive a fall like that and that is Bucky better known as The Winter Soldier. So either Tech magically survived a Mt. Everest fall onto "something soft" or Hemlock found him first and convert him into a Legends-styled Phase 0 Dark Trooper pulling a "Winter Soldier" by effect.
I don't think Hemlock would tell the truth, if they knew he was alive and that they captured him the batch would fight harder to save him and crosshair.
Tech was by far my favorite clone... I was genuinely devastated that they killed him off :'( ... his relationship with Omega was honestly special and the one which had grown the most this season.
It was tense and emotional watching this episode. Always love your reactions.

This Finale might as well be called "The Empire Strikes Back, at the Bad Batch" So Sad for Tech and Omega's Condition in the End. There has to be a Season 3 because Filoni & Co can't leave Us Hanging Like Lucas did back in 80'.
I'm actually thinking that she's not a clone but she's actually the one where they got the DNA sample to make omega. She is the second sample
damn... Tech had such a dope season. The development he was given really made me love him even more than I already did. I can't believe he is gone, Unless Plan 99 is a whole ass plan to get Captured and convince that Tech is dead, so he can really save them all in the end.. Including crosshair.
The whole season gave me a vibe that something bad would happen to Tech, and when the potential love interest told him to make sure he comes back I knew his fate was sealed
I watched this episode and while it didn't get me emotional, I thought "this is going to emotionally destroy LJ." But chin up, How can the smartest member be killed off so easily, he could've easily calculated how to survive. His googles looked like they were in an explosion and not a wreckage. Now the set up for the Clone rebellion is almost complete. Can't wait for the next season. Another 🔥🔥 reaction
They may very well have killed Tech but there's a lot of reasons to question it. Tech isn't stupid and knows that, falling that far, the car would outpace him so he wouldn't be crushed beneath it. He's got gadgets and basic physics knowledge to improve his chances. If they go through with it, then I'm angry that an autistic character was given a lot of development just because they wanted extra emotional payoff when they killed him. It'd be garbage and offensive, frankly. Holding out hope that we'll see Tech again at some point in the future...

Honestly? Hemlocks throwing the Goggles at the team "as the only salvageable part" was heavy handed enough that I still put decent odds of tech surviving.
He’s dead and it would be so dumb if he survived that lol. I predict season 3 is going to be real dark, be prepared to lose a lot of clones you like. This show is epic
Wondering if Emerie will take the seat vacated by Tech. She's shown Crosshair a measure of dignity that none else gave him in the mountain. I'm guessing she could be a field medic to the team, though I wonder if that will be superfluous if Azi remains with the team now. Of course, Azi might just become the medic for Pabu, and remain as a team surgeon at a base of operations.
If they only found Tech's glasses and the Imperials are assuming the rest of him is buried under the wreckage, then he probably got away without being captured. 🙂

This is not my original thought but... Dr Hemlock showing us Tech's googles feels a lot like the mouth of Sauron showing the fellowship Frodo's shirt of Mithril, and we know how that went... I personally think it's safe to say Tech is MIA (pressumed dead), can he come back? Sure, but HOW they go about doing that becomes really important for season 3
IF he is alone I see him maybe half robotic like Echo but worse. That fall was bad and the carr looked like it landed on him

You are lucky enough to have not seen the aftermath of people jumping from building 1 and building 2 on 9/11. A body falling from those heights caused the people to explode into mist and small body parts. Tech fell from a much greater height unfortunately.

Scorch will wake up from whatever the Empire did to him after Sev's death. He'll team up with Omega's sister to free Omega and Crosshair. She was very tender with him during that mind wiping procedure.
One of the best moments in tv/Star Wars history! Heartbreaking but beautifully done.

Other than Kix, Rex and Wolfe, by the start of episode 4 every other clone is assumed to be dead.
"Sev" isn't officially dead or alive at the moment, he's "missing in action", and luckily not a Spartan-II. Considering that Scorch is leading the force of Republic Commandos currently loyal to the empire, it's probably safe to assume Boss and Fixer are either dead or AWOL as well.
Current Canon has most clones dying in the clone rebellions, dying in the experimentation of the Dark Trooper project, or dying of old age. MAYBE "Cut" makes it to the end of his life living happily... But the rest of them... 😰😰😰 Don't feel good for their chances...

Honestly I'd rather Tech be dead because if not I'm 99% sure (no pun intended) they're experimenting on him. If they turn Tech evil he'll be a beast for his already existing smarts and turned to be better at combat. With Star Wars an offscreen death doesn't mean they actually died. Hunter survived falling down a whole mountain in season 1 and Echo survived being caught in an explosion in Clone Wars where he was presumed dead. Even look at Boba Fett who literally broke out of the stomach of a monster pit. Tech might have even tricked the empire into thinking he was dead by messing with the car debris and his equipment since he's calm under pressure and is out there trying to contact help.
It’s gonna take a lot more than the goggles to convince me Tech actually died. To quote a scene from Band of Brothers, “if there ain’t no body, then there ain’t nobody fuckin’ dead.”
Louise you are learning through Bad Batch that war brings much sorrow. The good die young and Tech was so very, very good!
I blame all of this on Saw. If he could have waited five, maybe ten minutes the Bad Batch could have gotten clear of the tram and been on the marauder. Sure, the mission would still be a bust as the ship would still be destroyed with the tracker, but Tech would still be alive, Hunter and Wrecker wouldn't be so injured and barely able to fight, they wouldn't have had to go back to Cid's place for AZI-3... Saw's impatience and need for instant gratification cost the bad batch nearly everything. Once again, the clones give their everything, and it's wiped away in an instant due to one person's interests.
R.I.P. 'Brown Eyes', Goggles... Tech, not a good soldier who follows orders, but rather, a good man who knows when not to, even when he is put at risk. 99 would be proud.
You're not the only one who is sick of clones getting hurt or even killed , seeing Tech gone was too much for me , Having fives , jesse , tup , hard case , Waxer , heavy , mayday , tech and even more clones did hurt me a lot , like really a lot , I just love every single of them , they're all equally my favourites clones , but missing Tech was the most painful stabbing knife I had in my heart , at first when I've seen the scene I was left shocked without words but now seeing more and more this scene makes me cry hard , I want to believe he's alive he can't be dead I refuse to believe that Tech is gone , I know he's alive and I can sense it 💔

Hunter sadly would be the last one standing with Omega of course. I can see Echo dying to do something huge for the clones while Wreaker would go down doing something only he could. The whole Batch are so skilled but against the might of the Empire it's all nothing really.

Technically, no pun intended, Tech would have a chance of surviving. The train wreckage is heavier so it should fall down much quicker than him. So if he would be able to hold or clinch to it somehow he might have had a chance. Not sure what he could do about the impact though.
Sadly(doubt they thiught that deep about it tho) they fell at the same time and therefore would fall at more or less the same rate. The only hope he has is if he some how moved out the way

The blaster with grapple hook attachment got blown out of his hands from the V-Wing fire. The only other cable he had was the one on his belt which is why he attached it to cart before falling. However, I don’t know why Wrecker or Hunter didn’t shoot the grapple hook in between the window bars to pull him up closer. Tech might not have had enough time to make an opening but still woulda got him more time

It's not denial! Tech had like 10 minutes falling to figure something out! Okay, maybe 30 seconds, but that's still enough for Tech! He could do an egg drop thing, where he uses the cable car like a box and himself as the egg. Do some engineering calculations, rig up the cable to cushion the impact ... If anyone could pull that off, Tech could!
the Bad Batch didn't go looking for Tech, the Empire only found his goggles, and I didn't take Hemlock's statement to mean his body was destroyed beyond recovery, I think he survived and escaped somehow.
Hemlock /said/ the Empire found only his goggles. That was enough to break their will at the moment. My only question is whether he's held by Hemlock, or if he's on Eriadu with Tarkin since that's where the other Bad Batch members were going to be taken.

My theory about Tech is that Hemlock found his dead body and brought it back to the compound for study. I'm guessing Omega will find his body somehow, and together with Nala Se, they are going to clone him...
Either that or he somehiw survived the fall, his googles got smashed (I'm going to say big trees slowed his fall), and he escaped... That's why Hemlock only found the googles. Tech might be the one rescueing the boys including Crosshair!!!
I feel like they put regs in the Commando gear. There's no way Commando Clones shoot like that.
Besides, it would explain the limited number of clones there already are.

This was really Empire Strikes Back with Cid as Lando. Except no security force to help turn things around. She looked out for herself lord knows what the empire would've done to Ord Mantell if she'd said no. I'm disappointed in her, but I don't blame her. Crosshair is gonna wake up to Omega telling him that Tech is dead.
