I just made 3 of them for the first time last night, and they came out perfect! I intend to make more, in various sizes and colors for different types of jewelry projects. Thanks for making this wonderful video! :^)
Glad you're enjoying them! If you're most interested in bracelet designs we have a playlist here on TH-cam that collects just those: th-cam.com/play/PL80B5F860B6F3AB20.html
WOW! you are very good to worked whit wire & make the coil i'm very impress because is not that easy to make that for me but i really enjoy to watch you make this wrapped coil & i Love your Bracelet so Beautiful! Thank's Cath for this excellent tut. vid.!
If you can find cord that is 0.5mm larger, we recommend using the larger bail pliers. For this specific project, the cord is 5mm in diameter, so creating a 5mm coil is recommended. Thank you.
I have bought every plier known to man, but the Weber's one I don't have can you not tell us what we can use instead of that if we don't have it as of right now. Some of us are on a budget and can't buy a player every time we see a new technique and you can't tell us what we can substitute for it, I think that's sad.
QUESTION: I want to make this as a MEN'S bracelet, so what type of clasp would fit this, AND would also look masculine? (The one shown in the video looks a bit more feminine; just need to know what kind and size clasp to get for a masculine look.) Thanks!
We recommend a magnetic clasp. Instead looping the cord on the end, you could simply insert the cord into a magnetic clasp. This project used 5mm cord, and currently we only have options for magnetic clasps in silver. You can see them here: www.beadaholique.com/wsearch/result/?type_id=&q=clasp%20fits%205mm&limit=40&product_type=Clasp&doc_count=259&product_style=Magnetic Thanks for watching!
tbkk100 In theory you could try to just use a cylindric object the diameter that you want your bead to be instead of the wubbers bail making pliers. I think your main challenge will be comfortably bending that heavier gauge wire. You will notice in the video that the "plier' ability of the wubbers, the two noses, is used to really help with the bending and the forming. It's worth trying though and it could work without the pliers.

1994abbygirl We're based in California but we feature jewelry supplies from all over the world and most of our suppliers use metric, even those based here in America. That chord is sold by the meter, which is roughly 3 feet. To help people visualize mm and cm we've got a video: th-cam.com/video/wAEM9cbWFcE/w-d-xo.html
Beadaholique I couldn't get it to come up, but I will try later.. Hope it helps.. it frustrates me that American companies use the metric system.. I am not European..I am an American.. but I guess in jewelry making we have no choice. I am constantly having to look up on the internet for the interchange of mm and inches, or cm and meters! Thanks

Hi I live in UK. Would it be ok to use pliers that are .5 bigger ? I can buy 3.5 and 5.5 locally

Was the 18 gauge half hard, and what about the 24 gauge?

can you make the project without the wubbers bail making pliers and how would you do it?

Forgive me, I'm very new to wire-wrapping but what temper wire are you using?

How did you complete the single coil wrapped bracelets, I wanted to see how you did the complete bracelet. ? ? ?
Did you figure out how to make the bracelet...I love the coiled beads but I would use real leather and handmade clasp on ends..very cool!
is there a video that shows how to make that bracelet?
No but we have a project page for it with step-by-step written instructions www.beadaholique.com/bracelet-of-bhutan.html
May I ask where you found the leather cord?? I looked in a couple places locally but couldn't find any!
