I can't believe BMW has a transverse muffler way in the back and decided to put two exhaust tips on the left side instead of splitting them up, one on each side. It would have cost nothing to put a nice exhaust tip on each side, simulating a dual exhaust system. Hell, even a $25K Mazda CX-5 has that....
i4's are the best because they're very easy to work on, since they make the engine bay extremely spacious, changing the serpentine belt becomes a 20 minute job instead of 2 hours
@99JBG, You echo the words by other members of the EMD Nation... I will be getting back to the old format. Thank you for your honest constructive feedback - Dave
more like an ad for BMW rather than a review. it was all just positives. not even a single word on the outdated and boring interior or the small monitor of the sat nav. but hey, the dealer employee spoke half of the video. what do you expect?
If your looking or thinking of buying on of these cause you’ve found one cheap or a deal Don’t BUY IT 🏃 RUNnnnn. These N20 4cyl are JUNK and throw the timing chain and or guides shatter essentially ruining the engine!! And seems to be right at about those magic miles when the warranty is up and as low as 70-90k.. Quite a extensive repair to especially for a little golf cart sized 2.0 4cyl. You’ve been warned !!
@johnshu1988x, can you be more specific? And just for the record, I am not paid by anyone to shoot and produce these videos. My thoughts and opinions are my own. I look forward to your specific review updates - Dave
I respectfully disagree with you. Hyundai/Mazda/Dodge/Chevy etc have very modern interiors but the plastics look and feel cheap. This BMW interior is getting a little dated (due to be replaced in next years model to what we're seeing now in the 2014 3 series) but it's classic, simple, the materials are high quality and will stand the test of time a lot better than a lot of the overly stylised interiors we're seeing from lower end manufacturers.
Helpful.Only thing is .I bought a certified pre owned that goes to eco drive, when i didnt set that system up pre drive.need to read the booklet to get al the info, then take it to the dealership for further help with this car.but, its a beauty, performs well on the hwy and feel i made a better choice than what i was going to buy,a volvo xc60
I hate the amount of black plastic BMW uses in its interiors, even in the more expensive variants... look like patch work unless its a all black interior. The X3 shared interior pieces with the X1 and E90 (prev gen) 3 series and is therefore pathetic.... the upgraded interiors in the new 3,4,5 series are much better,
Why not let Camp BMW do their own videos? BMW's are great cars but these videos more closely resemble the sort of material produced by car dealers than actual journalism.
Hi Dave. Very nice review. Can you elaborate more on who should buy 35i and if 28i is sporty and powerful enough for city dwellers. I live in bay area and will be using my car 90% of time in bay area. I do not want to keep thinking if only I could have purchased 35i but also do not want to burn a deep hole in my pocket.
28i is PLENTY. I have driven one for 3 years in Los Angeles and it is amazing. Go with your wallet's comfort zone. You won't be disappointed even with the base model.
I feel like BMW is starting to get lazy. It's going to start biting them in the ass eventually. Both Audi and Cadillac are making vehicles with better interior and exterior designs and making them sportier to drive; usually at a better price. I am shocked by the interior that this X3 has. It looks like it could be from 10+ years ago.
Is there any way to disable that annoying "harp" tone inside all new BMWs? Seriously, I find it annoying enough that it would make me not buy a new BMW.
I look forward to your detailed thoughtful reviews, and am glad/hopeful that you'll abandon this informercial style. I have the 3.5 M-Sport version of the X3 - there's a lot of good, less good and disappointing to discover, and this effort missed most of it. We depend upon the detail, as our real-life test drives are like the first half of your video - BMW rep often present reciting sales tapes. I, for one, appreciate the old format.

That was my bad.... I mis-edited those - Dave
Would you consider buying an 2014 BMW X3 with 28k miles? Are they reliable? PLEASE HELP😊

Everyone here is just mad they don't have BMW themselves. I understand some points, but what do you really have against Bavarian Motor Works itself???
That interior is pathetic at that price. The Mazda CX-5 looks nicer inside.
Why does the start have mitsubishi but have x3 review? o.o
What abut how the car drives? How is brake, steer etc. Not much info regarding the important stuff.
@johnshu1988x, can you be more specific? And just for the record, I am not paid by anyone to shoot and produce these videos. My thoughts and opinions are my own. I look forward to your specific review updates - Dave
hey dave. can you re-review the bmw x3 28i without the infomercial style?
who skipped leg day? not this dude!
I'm hoping to find a used one of these
2014 BMW three X.3 28I where is the battery located
at 2:08 was that a nail in the driver rear tire? nice review! love Everyman!
Engine bay looks a little empty... I think they can stuff a V6 in there easily.

Was hoping to see the Nav system put to use. : (
Thanks just the same.
@Dinu G, no but maybe I should :-) Dave

Dave, you are a nice guy. But it'd be nice to see a more hard nosed critique of the vehicles.

Nice car, serious calves

Déjoto David Soccer and cycling my friend :-)
I think the biggest part is taking a salesman for the drive. He's hardly subjective....
NO HID..
The people sure make the ride looks shaky 😐
interior on BMWs is SOOOOOOOOOOO BOOOOOOOOOOOOORING
How? It's pretty modern.
simplicity
I don't know... it's kind of bland. And no sports seats.
Nice to drive good handling and power

Dave, why does the x3 video has the lancer in its intro, and the lancer video has the x3 in its intro? kind of circling back to itself...
