  • CRUSHING HIGH GRADE SPECIMENS TO EXTRACT BEAUTIFUL CLEAN AUSTRALIAN GOLD
    2019 in WA for me was an eye opener to say the least; an Unprecedented run of Specimens was waiting to be found, and when I stumbled upon it, I soon realised by the sheer quantity of Specimens I was looking at, a hand dolly or even a hand operated Jaw crusher was not going to get the job done... so I purchased a Keene RC1 Rock Crusher. (see link below for more info)
    If you're one of those who have recently asked me how I crush my Specimens and Ore; this video is for you. Yep..it's almost 40 minutes long, so it's not for everyone, but I figured I'd go into detail for those who are interested in the Process. The bonus of course, is the finished product... Some Beautiful Clean Australian Specimen Gold.
    ... and of course, I want to send out a huge "THANK YOU" to Mick of Kingaroy... I truly could not have made this video without your assistance..thanks mate

      54 gram that's just under 2oz not 1& half oz like he said 56g = 2oz

      @AussieBlokeProspector  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Dennis The Only Solution not quite sure where you get 54grams from, but for the record, 56 Grams actually equals 1.8004 Troy Ounces being: 56 divided by 31.103 (1 troy Oz) = 1.8004

      To bad you couldnt set a puddle box up above your sluce with a 6"x3" door . That way you can turn it all to a liquid open the door and feed it rt out into your sluce .👍

    Found this by accident and it's incredible. Best step by step ore crushing I've found. All the other ones I found required tons of expensive equipment so thanks again for simple ore crushing when you DON'T have 25k in equipment.

    Unlike a spray bar with holes on the sluice you use the bucket which gives you an extra riffle to catch gold and a place for the water to start agitating the surface tension of rock!
    Bloody legend!
    That's Thinking! Thankyou for your videos mate

    Love the low tech way mate. It’s nice to see hard work and safety. I wont mention channel names, but a guy (US company) has $25000 setups to do it all in a half day. Rock crusher, grinder, wet shaker table,clouds of silica dust and doesn’t even barely use a dust mask. Good on ya for being safe and keen to break it the old hard way to show us how the common man would do it.
    Edit loved every minute of this video. Thank you 👍

      @@AussieBlokeProspector Don't get me wrong for a moment! You literally provide insights that others gloss over (or don't think about). I love your work. Take care, you and your family!! EDIT: Old Timers?? My great grandfather went to work at Broken Hill in the early days; he came home again when he was his mid teens and his family thought they were being haunted by a ghost! He was so contaminated by Lead. Lived to age 85 I wish i had met him.

    Absolutely love your videos - thank you. I built a rock crusher about 5 years ago to do the same thing as your Keene. I run mine off a 240volt electric motor ( in the bush it runs off a generator) the shaft which has hardened steel hammers chained to it (not really hammers but the grab claws off truck chain tie-downs) , it rotates at 1400rpm so it destroys the rocks in no time. It is hard work but at the same time a really enjoyable labour of love crushing ore.

    That is some very rich ore for sure. The coarseness of the gold also makes it nice. The project I am currently working on has 80% passing 8.6 microns (about 2000 mesh). This gold won't even settle in water- to say nothing of concentrate! I'm jealous.
    I suspect that if you crushed all your left overs to 100 mesh, and used something better for super fine gold than a sluice, you could still get several ounces per ton out of your tailings.

    • @AussieBlokeProspector
      @AussieBlokeProspector  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      2000 mesh...Wow that's ludicrously fine... and I suspected the same, so re-crushed and came up with a Vibrating Sluice setup to do just that. (the video released after this one). Regards Aussie

    Great stuff John. You are an awesome educator. It would be fantastic if you could also possibly prepare an episode on how to clean out a sluice box for us novices:-). Cheers mate.

    Crushing rocks is hard physical work. I did this once, I only crushed half a bucket and it took me two hours. Cool video 😎 👍

      Cheers mate. It is...very tough work. The first bucket I crushed out in the field took me a whole day to get it down to fine stuff...but it produced about an Ounce and a half. Regards Aussie

    💎💎💎Aussie Bloke Prospector💎💎💎 I might have an improvement on your water distribution at the bucket. Try it, install a rake or comb as, (Austrailians use different names for words as Us Americans) okay so mount across like a gate flow and adjust with a large to small rake. Would act more like a rapids water effect. Great gold recovery mate. Let us know how you like the water flow improvement. If you like it, make us a video. Cheers. 💎💎💎

      I agree about labor being intense at your process and prospecting gold. It's a well deserved reward !
