      Daniel Parker it says in the bible to love and accept everyone and as far as criticism is concerned let God handle that instead Broussard does the one thing God specifically said not to do and you won't be in the kingdom of God until Jason Collins gets his opportunity first

      Zechariah Cameron again your not supposed to do that because that's not you worry about you and your family don't worry about some nba player or some person having sex with some random chick it seems fitting for Chris Broussard to be employed by fox it seems fitting for skip bayless to be employed by fox because they love their god loving employees but trust me by saying this anyone who goes that far in any subject has something horrible in his closet ex Roy Moore has the ten commandments in his court steps it comes out that he is a child molester another example Donald Trump says Hillary Clinton messed with the Russians something that fox news still pushes for some ungodly reason it turns out he's in a middle of a shit storm with the Muller investigation do I agree with Jason Collins lifestyle no but do I understand him and want him to be loved and happy absolutely

    ESPN knew what they where doing with this interview. Baited question. Broussard handled it cleanly. I like that he and LZ had an intellectual conversation on the subject. Something others on TH-cam are not able to handle. Though I agree with Mr Broussard, I am not angry, or bothered with LZ. They both have the right to their opinion, and that is ok.

Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor Idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men. nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. LZ Granderson, even if the government recognizes gay marriage and gives you the same rights as heterosexuals in this country does not make it "right" in God's eyes. Our government doesn't define what marriage is, God does, and he clearly defines it in the bible as between a Man and a Woman There's no denying that. If you have sexual relations with a man it is still classified as a sin. Look, I'm not denying people having desires for their same gender, but just because it makes you feel good doesn't justify it as "right." LZ's last comments about faith are totally mis interpreted to justify HIS views. The Bible DOES paint a broad brush because it decrees us as moral creatures to live by a standard. Without the bible there is no way to justify morality.. This is what I believe, I hope you can respect that in love and we can find a way to work together to discover the Truth..

      Brandon Well said...... You cant truly claim to be a christian and disagree with something like homosexuality (other sins etc.) it makes no sense, LZ is basically disagreeing with God. Now if LZ was living this lifestyle and openly admitting it is wrong and trying to repent that's different. But he's basically saying sorry God I interpret the bible differently than 90% of other christians and i think my lifestyle is right but i still believe in everything else you say lol makes no sense.

      When all of you critics can tell us the point in your lives when you had to choose between being gay or straight, and us how you made that decision, please share. This never happens , and neither does our choice. If the choice was so easy to make ,don't you think that gay people would choose to be straight, rather than live a life that they know will be the hardest struggle in their life because of the pain , ridicule, and ostracism that goes along with that choice. Religion should never be used to judge us for our choice, there isn't one.And you only cherry pick the sins that affect others lifestyles, but leave out all the others sins like they mean any less. The bible and god is your belief system, but is not and never will be everyones.

    Christians are different than everyone else in what we stand for, and who we believe in. Every other worldview says that heaven can be earned by living a good enough life (or no heaven at all).

    Why do Christians call it "forcing one's beliefs on society." As Christians, IF we truly believe that the Gospel is THE TRUTH, and we truly love people, (as we say we do) then we would BOLDLY proclaim the truth so that individuals can be saved. NO ONE gets saved by a forced message, but a BOLD TRUTHFUL presentation of the grace and saving/sanctifying power of Jesus Christ MUST be preached, lest we as Christians just become another USELESS religion.

    Except he didn't say it isn't right for him. He said it wasn't right for Jason Collins. That is standing in judgement of another human being, an action that Jesus (not Paul or Leviticus) explicitly forbids.

    The dude on the phone is very deceived. What he and many people don't realize is that when reading and interpreting the Bible, individuals are to do so within the context of what the bible and culture are saying. We are not to interpret it how we choose and then run with it. We are to interpret it how it is meant to be interpreted and either accept and apply it to our lives or reject it. In Matthew 16:24-26, it reads, "... Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life[a] will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?..." We are to DAILY die to ourselves, our will, our wants, and our desires, pick up our cross, and put God's will, desires, wants and HIS purpose for our lives in its place. (Notice it doesn't say if we feel like it?!) We were bought at a price. That price was Jesus on the cross. When you interpret the bible based on your feelings, how it suits you, and your needs, well, this is how we get so many crazy insane religions and cults. In Jeremiah 17:9-10, it says,
    "The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? "I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve."
    I watch so many people make it about whether an individual is sexually attracted to the opposite sex or same-sex, and it is so much more than that. The heart of the issue is every one of us wants to be our own god, and we want to do things our way, and how dare anyone (especially God) tell us anything. So, we deceive ourselves and suppress the Truth to do Evil. We church it up and make it sound good, and we make it sound innocent, but in reality, we are headed right towards the cliff.

    If you stole something that would make you a Christian who steals.
    A Christian is a person that believes in The Christ.
    So you do and agree with all that the bible says. Wow you are one strong person. The Christ I serve give me something that man can't. Grace.

      Faith without work is dead you have to do more than just believe… anyone who does wrong in Christianity is required to repent if he going to walk with God’s approval and seek salvation … and that’s with any sin whether it’s homosexuality or stealing etc.,, You much repent by means of acknowledging your wrong doing and try to correct your life style … not ignore wrong and continue to do the wrong act over and over as if it’s right and you don’t care to change it nor act as if it’s wrong

    If you are a juror on a trial you are not deciding between guilty and innocent. If you feel the trial provided sufficient evidence to show the defendant guilty you vote guilty. If the trial failed to convince you they are guilty you vote not guilty.
    An atheist is someone who does not believe there is sufficient evidence to prove the existence of any god or gods, nothing more, nothing less.

    I usually am not a fan of Chris but I absolutely agree with him. If you are openly rebelling against what the bible says, which is the basic instructions before leaving earth, then how can you be a Christian. Falling short of the standard is different than openly saying 'hey, i'm going to do what i want or i feel is right and i'm still a christian and God is still going to give me my inheritance. Remember Moses didn't make it to the promise land because of disobedience..We're not different.

  • @crossnetworkllc
    @crossnetworkllc 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Just believing is not going to save you. The Bible says that even the demons believe and they tremble with fear. So believing is good but faith without obedience isn't going to get you to the promise land. Like I said, we all fall short but there is a DISTINCT difference between making a mistake and perpetually making mistakes and then believing it's not even a mistake anymore. That's the issue with homosexuality and any other sin that we identify ourselves with. This life is not about us but

    O I didn't see what you were responding to, he brought up the civil war...so I guess I can see your point. But I would still say, that just because there is not much written evidence doesn't mean much...it was so long ago that writing was rare, and of those written records most would have been destroyed by now.

    @johnlsmith3080 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    You're right. You can't pick and choose, and some people do only focus on one sin. But what Christianity really teaches is that all those things that you listed are wrong, and that all of us are guilty of sin punishable by death. That is where Jesus comes in. He died for everyones sins. You have to accept it and repent of your sins though. Just as Chris Broussard said, if you live in unrepented sin, then you are not really a Christian.

  • @BuckeyePlays
    @BuckeyePlays 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    That does not determine whether someone is a Christian or not. The only way to be a Christian is to ask Jesus to save you from your sins. Period. Keeping the sabbath was part of the "old" law before Jesus Rose from the dead and ascended into Heaven. At that moment the "old" law had been fulfilled and is no longer needed to be kept to be saved. As I said the only way to be saved is to call on the Lord and ask him to forgive you from your sins and save you.

  • @9chilidog
    @9chilidog ปีที่แล้ว

    Granderson is moving the goalposts. He knows 100% that Broussard was not talking about it’s a sin for gay men to have sex outside of gay marriage.
    His point is, a man having sex with a man is a sin, and if a man married a man that is an abomination. Sun is sin, and there are no gay Christians.

    O okay, I can respect that.
    I want you to know I am a Christian, but I do not try to force my beliefs on society, I do have my beliefs though. I would also like to mention I have actually had way more atheists try to force their beliefs on me then Christians (that might seem weird since I am a Christian, but remember there are different types). Also I would like mention that certain types of Christians are worse than others. So don't think we are all bad :)
    Hope you have a good day!

    I know there were many books out there that were rejected as bible books that mention him, but here is a site (atheistapologist, it won't let me type in full page) that says even most atheist believe he was a real man, also a simple wikipedia search will say most scholars believe he was a real person (I know wikipedia can be edited, but it has sources down botton to back it up).

    Never said there is no God. I consider myself a Deist/Pantheist. I believe God gave us logic and reason unlike revealed religions such as Christianity that relies on faith (belief). God to me is the energy all around us. Without this energy we wouldn't be alive. Christianity is based on ancient myths similar to the Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Babylonian myths of it's time. Do your research, read the bible and other ancient books and you will see for yourself.
