Love seeing bros enjoy each other KOMing
I can only watch them KOM; would be a wild experience to do it together
Fellow KOM enjoyers unite
*PNS bros
he swallowed up that KOM so easily, i'm sure he made all the boys happy
It feels so much better when you KOM together
Hurts to get dethroned. But it makes great content
I just gotta lose 20 pounds and we can go take it back Colin ;)
and Lewis is super nice and humble to boot
He is next level!
Avg heart rate 188 for 11.5 minutes? Buck wild my dude, well done
At like 350W...
Heart rate is genetic and not related to performance! Lots of pros have a max hr that is lower than that
You’re right Matt that there isn’t a direct relationship between heart rate and performance because not everyone is efficient at translating cardiovascular output into the most important variable, speed.
However, I was only commenting that it’s impressive because given his age he was likely in zone 5 cardio for nearly the entire effort, which is very impressive to me no matter what a pro’s heart rate would be at that speed.
Lewwwwwisssssssss! The power comes from the stache. Never shave.
This dude's kardashian level vocal fry is god level!
Yussss.
KOM with you stuck to his back wheel. Savage
Are those prescription riding glasses? I'd like a video on that.
I’m super stoked when I break top 10 on my fatbike. Great video! That kid is a ripper.
I always see this guy when I am out riding! Happy to see him in a video. What cycling prescription glasses does he use? I'd LOVE TO KNOW!!!! As a prescription cyclist I need some!!
you may not have any KOMs, but you're still one of my favorite riders out there. King of the Movement.
I have been missing the bike riding videos. Would love to see more OMTM rides!
I live in IL. Strava says my biggest climb was 38 feet.
I split my time between Chicagoland and New England. Just when I think I'm getting fast in Illinois, come home to Mass and get my ass handed to me on the first of many hills lol.
Imagine being from Miami!
Same… IL here, but i got you beat! 76 feet! That’s cause i did it twice
Went to school there for a few years. Couldn't find a climb anywhere, just corn fields for days. My typical ride back home has 2000 ft climbing. Imagine how I felt, lol
Nicely done Lewis! And on those draggy G-One Allround tires! Lewis has helped me out at CyclepathPDX bike shop... very helpful and exudes positive vibes.
Awesome!!! Lewis was just telling me about this yesterday. Great job guys!!😎🔥🥇
KOM hunting season is all year round ! Go get some DK 👊
Great editing 👍
Thank you player!!
What glasses brand are y’all wearing? I need some good riding prescription shades.
Born and raised in NE Portland and a lifelong cyclist- stoked to come across this content!
Lewis! So fun to see Dustin and Lewis riding bikes together. Woot!
Chiming in from Olympia WA, where Lewis took KOMs from me while in his teens. Nice feature!
This rules!! 👆
That was an enjoyable video to watch! Out of curiosity, what RX sunglasses are you wearing?
dude is a monster. well done
354W for 11:30 for a guy that probably weighs 140 is pretty savage
I was one of the other folks to climb Springville that day. I was pretty proud of myself until I saw Lewis’ time! Nice to know he was trying!
..great cutting and awesome soundtrack…think even downhill i would never be as fast as this guy..
Nice! Lewis helps me out often when I visit CyclePath. Great shop. I usually ride the portion of Springville from Leif Erikson to Skyline. It's super steep and loose for sure.
Whaaat Lewis and Colin Gibson in one video! Worlds collide. Love it!
Rode the first half of that this morning to get to the trail and I did that half in 12 minutes. Can't image going twice as fast for twice as long. Insane
Shoutout to Cathedral Coffee ☕️
KOM is very fun!
Did he do it? Will he? Won't he? Allez! Allez! Allez! Done it! Did it! Got it!
Lewis is honestly so humble, you would never know he's loaded with KOM
LET'S GO LEWIS!
as a southern az rider in 105+ weather, i am living vicariously through you
I feel your heat pain! 🥵
Looking forward to doing this trail myself soon.
That dude is so nice. Always a smile on his face at Cyclepath willing to answer any questions with knowledgeable enthusiasm....now I know why... because he crushes everyone's accomplishments for sh*ts and grins....😂 no seriously he is super nice and apparently super fast.
Very nice! Don't tell Phil Gaimon! He was just in Bend bagging KOMs a few weeks ago lol...
Cooky?
@worstretirementever
Man, I ride upper Springville when I'm looking for a good tough time, but I've only ridden lower Springville once because that shit is just outta hand. KOM on the whole deal is bonkers, chapeau!
And it's just the first climb of the Ronde!
@@mowensmdThey're starting up Springville now? Used to be Saltzman...
I've done this one! Made it without stopping, but definitely didn't set any records.
Way to be, Lewis!
So good.
Wow! Impressive! I've had some Koms, but now I've been knocked down from the top. I live just north in SW Washington
I love CyclePath :) I didn't realize I was noob talking with a fuckin LEGEND though!!! :O Makes me feel even better that they're nice to me over there even though I'm just getting into mtb.
the video does not show how steep that first section is. im always proud of myself for just making it to skyline. very fun down though!
Wide lens is notorious for making grades look less steep than they actually are.
This is why I called out the % of each portion of climb.
Just finished an epically difficult bikepacking trip of the Idaho Panhandle Ramble Route with the creator of this boy (his mom). The apple did not fall far from the tree.
BST EBD EVR!!!!
Couldn’t have done it without you!
Lewis is the only guy certified to wear Pas Normal Studio clothes. Dude isn´t normal blasting up that climb. Nice Video !
weird. Are you the founder of PNS boys?
LEW CREW
How tf he can speak and not even look tired after this effort 😮
I used to include Springville as one of my long climb training days. Brutal, sure, but it really is a great climb. This was pre Strava but I'm sure I didn't have a KOM lol.
I got a KOM on a descent once...immediately lost it.
That’s even harder than the climbs!
I need just one! 😂
dude what glasses are you wearing when talking to the camera?
There's a link in the description below the video.
I've only ridden down that road. So steep.
#KOMLIFE fun stuff 😊
YEEEHAAAAWWWWW LEEWIIISSSS!
Dogg, that's hott!!
nice bike.
Andrew Feather KING of KOM's . He busts them for fun in the UK
Eh 250 KOM's !?!? eg 1 per week for 5 years.... jeeezzzzabeeezzzuuussshh ❤
I don't even have KOM for my driveway 😂
KOM? King of mountain?
I'm not on Strava, so I don't really know all that well, how this KOM thing works exactly, but, how do people know if a KOM is set legitimately or not? Could a person not use an E-Bike to set a KOM, or is there some way to know if that would happen?
Fair point. I think times that are too fast would call into question the legitimacy. Not sure if there's moderation teams for KOM. But also I think you'd have a be a real dick to intentionally try and steal these spots using a an E-bike. Definitely someone out there that would try it anyways. People are dumb. Afaik it's just based on the honor system for now.
You can flag a ride or run that looks suspicious. A lot of times it's people that forget to turn off their Garmin after finishing a ride or run...if someone ran 1/4mi up an 8% grade at 400m (Track) World Record pace you know something went wrong with that segment.
@@yakosway Interesting. Dustin following with his E-Bike, made me wonder if it was an issue or not.
@@johndunbar2393 So I have an e-bike for city commuting and got a Top 10 on an E-Bike designated segment. That was the first time I learned that you can make E-Bike specific segments. It's an honor system, so the rider has to mark the ride as an E-Bike Ride (which is easiest when picking the ride type when starting your Garmin/Apple Watch/Etc or on the iPhone/Android Strava app itself before you get going).
@@johndunbar2393Dustin just doesn't record and it won't post
What kind of watts per kg is producing? Great video. Thanks!
~5.6
Very Impressive @@batty22222
Great Video. Where was his bike?
He broke it.
Although I dont know how.
Great Q
I should have covered this in the video.
I have a handful of KOMs but they're mostly dumb downhill segments or weird routes that hardly anyone takes. No idea why these exist but they're mine... for now.
Why do the cameras never convey how steep it is in person? You're out there dying and someone is going to tell you it's not that bad. LOL.
I said the exact same thing to lewis when we were doing this. 😂
Wow, he never gets out of the saddle when climbing huh.
gets too slippy up there
The most unbelievable part of this video is Dustin commenting on behalf of "normal people". As if...
I’ve never snagged a KOM yet either, hit 2nd place hundreds of times, but never managed to hit the KOM…. Frustrating knowing you miss it by fractions of a second sometimes…
🤘😁🤘
Who's that!!
Clark Kent on a bike??
Lance would have done it in 8 minutes
JRA KOM
"If I ever checked" LOL then tells you the number
He is not very believable
Dude I’m in southern Oregon and ride a single speed everywhere. And you call him the fastest climber. They call me the single speed killer. Cause. Well I put the hurt on everyone that tries to out climb me.
KOM hunting used to be fun but then Strava made leaderboards a paid feature..
Booo to Strava for that move!
I believe you can still see the Top 10 Leaderboard of each segment as a free user. So, if you are fast enough to be hunting for KOM's, you're still good!
250 isnt amazing especially if you ride road/ off road. it can be fun and addictive but it definitely gets in the way of training rides
Jaha, back träning. Kommer inte på frågan, har dock cyklat uppför Hammarbybacken flera gånger. Men det var i slutet av 90-talet. 🚵🏻
