Race Across Oregon 2023, yeah! I've been working that race for years, enjoy helping to put it on. I hope that while you're pushing yourself all the way you'll still manage to enjoy the beauty of that part of Oregon. I love being in that part of the country. Oh, and since you like climbing, enjoy twice the climbing of the 508. ;)
Man, HUGE congratulations Tyler. Your rise has been like a damn rocket the last few years and we're collectively super proud of you. You're a hell of a rider but more importantly an amazing ambassador for all cyclists and athletes. I'd LOVE to see what you could do on the Tour Divide! Keep riding and keep documenting. You're a motivational force to be reckoned with!
Nice one uploading the strava.. very interesting power profile.. at first I thought 'why did you keep stopping up the hill'... then I looked, those climbs took hours! Arg.

Hey Tyler, I’ve been following your channel for years. You’re a legend man. So psyched for you! Congrats on the national championship!!! Nobody deserves it more than you.
I’ll bet 10 canyon Airroads (or w/e tf) that he hired Dave Towle to be his own personal hypeman and no one heard the commentary before he added it in post. Not to take away from achievement but that part of the video made me lolol a couple of times.
Tyler, I have been waiting for this video and it couldn't have come at a better time. i just went out for a 200 mile event on my handcycle (arm power baby) this passed weekend and i DNF! it was my 2nd ever and it is destroying me. I have another event coming up at the end of April and I had convinced myself I needed to back out. There was no way I could possibly go out after this piss poor showing and face people that i am supposedly inspiring. Well at 17:52 you spoke about the struggle, the mind fuck, and resilience. it made me realize what i am doing to myself. I'm not going to make another post because my ass is going to get back on my handcycle and kill this next event. Everyone has been telling me what they think I need to hear. You verbalizing this struggle is what i NEEDED to hear. So thank you bro I would not have made this decision to participate at this next event if not for this. so proud of you bro and thanks again!
It’s only a failure if you don’t learn from it. I’ve failed 1,000 times and learned a little nugget each time which all came together in the moment in the dirt. Those mind gremlins are nasty, but you don’t have to listen to them. They are not you. They are your body trying to stay safe and warm and fed and alive. Next time tell the mind to fuk off and let your body do it’s thing.
Hey man, coming off my first DNF in October I felt the same damn way. I took a few days off to heal then absolutely hit it and haven't let up since. I've been strength training off the bike, riding like a madman, fixed my diet, and cut alcohol WAY down. Went out last month and absolutely crushed the Huracan 300 as redemption for that DNF. Push, get back up, and overcome. You GOT this dude!
Hands down, the best storyteller among athletes and the best athlete among storytellers!!! I appreciate you so much man, for sharing your stories ...you're an inspiration! The visuals are just ... next level man!!! Every new video you put out is just another new level! Amazing stuff!!
Great job man. Been around for years and know how amazing and important this was to you! So happy for you man. Many of us out here know how much work you put it! You earned it!
Yes. My kind of craziness. And kudos to Shane , him and his wife were really nice to me at the 24h World Championship. Congrats on the win Tyler, this stuff is serious business. I do plan on smashing the age group unsupported record and why not the overall.
@@TheVCAdventures wasn't planning for this year. I hit 235 miles in 12h last year. But then again , plans change and I might show up there. Silver State 508 next year for me. Too many races 😁 I wish I had 6 legs and more time to do it all 😜
@@TheVCAdventures WTTC is amazing. Pavement was better last year. When I did it with Shane temperature dropped below freezing 🥶 at night in the desert and many favorites bailed out. Congratulations! huge acheivement! I've crewed for an endurance rider for two of his events, the 2nd of which he qualified for RAAM. The sleep deprivation was brutal for everyone!
As a middle of the packer a few years younger than you, seeing you on this journey and the richly deserved rewards keeps me believing for myself. Thanks a bunch man. Look forward to seeing whats next for you, I feel like it's just the beginning.
The trick is to find the discipline that best suits your natural gifts. I love crit racing, but I ain’t ever gonna win there. So I searched and searched until I found my home for sport. Then, when you think you found it, go ALL IN.
Holy shit Tyler, you have no idea how this story and your dialogue right at the last sector gave me GOOSEBUMPS. Had me in shambles just thinking about pushing myself harder and harder. But in a good way. And all because of you. Thanks man
Bravo! Yer awesome! great ride! great video production, great music, great inspiration, great community building. Thank You Tyler. Yer the best. Im happy for you. And thoroughly entertained.
You are inspirational. Had a brain injury and never thought I would get on a bike again. Your stories and "dont give up" attitude have significantly contributed to me putting my leg over the saddle. Keep it up, man. You are freaking awesome
Such an amazing story how you found your discipline. So understand that video and what you went through. I’m holding the solo record for crossing Portugal North to South (740km with 9000m elevation) in 25h and it was the most insane, fascinating and addicting thing I’ve done - planning on doing some 24h races this year. Would love to see you on a race some day suffering together.
I crewed for Jim Elliott in Tour of Tucson and RAAM Jim was the fastet on the bike but after a day he slept for 2 hours in 24. What a joy to help but it was brutal even to crew.
Admittedly - I watch my first Vega video a Long time ago but came on to be a keyboard warrior. I have subsequently watched dozens of your videos and am continually impressed with all that you have accomplished on TH-cam and now as a national champion. 🇺🇸 Congrats buddy. Congrats.
