I have had this cooler running 24/7 since the Kickstarter campaign finished and delivered. Still working awesome. I did hook it up to a Jackery instead of using their power bank. It’s in the back of my truck, been through all kinds of weather from snow to searing heat. Off-road, on-road, etc. we are full time RVers and this life is harsh on things. It has held up beautifully.
I've had this cooler for awhile. It's awesome!!! The items you mention show a lack of how all compressor refrigerators actually work, also you don't note that Gosun is much less expensive than the dometic and uses much less energy. And you can easily verify what Gosun does for non-profits simply by checking out their website or the news.
My powerbank will run the chill 10 hours on full charge. But I find it charges slowly on the solar panel vs wall socket. I can make it work for rugged road trips
If you knew how compressor refrigerators/freezers work, you would know that the 45° tilt is critical (always let them sit for many hours before restarting if this happens). You should instead be questioning why those other company's don't warn about this! And, where were the tests for time to cool, temperature accuracy, watt hours used in fridge or freezer mode, and at various ambient temps? That is why folks view these reviews. Just to clarify, I am not a compressor fridge newbie; I own Norcold, Waeco (Dometic), Iceco, Whynter, BougeRV, and the Gosun Chill and Gosun Chillest models.
@@Terradrift No, people turn these units upside down to drain condensation, spills, or water from washing the interior. The Chill has a drain hole for this purpose, a feature that should be mentioned in a review. Still, all manufacturers who use compressors, and therefore refrigerant, should have the tilt notice. Not doing so contributes to early failure, and I would also note such an omission in a review.
Thanks for the review. Looks like a lot of these design features that are negative are resolved on the Chillest. Would definitely appreciate a review on that if you get a chance! Open box for that is currently the same price as Chill.

Which powerbank do you have?
Great review! I was going to buy this today but your review had me holding off and doing more research.

Our guess it that they put the warning on it is because it has wheels and could be easily tilted past 45. Thanks for the feedback!
