I also don't know why they still didn't fix small details like SSJ changing hairstyle models completely. It seems like a sequel won't happen anyway since they're focused on milking XV2 DLC.
Playing xenoverse 1 felt so good back in the day, but now going back to it is just... Its like playing a game that looked amazing to you when you were a kid but seeing that its garbage when you play it again
Going back to Xenoverse 1 at the beginning of December not only made me see how different the first game is to the second, but it is also a strong reminder of how far this series of games has come. Granted, there are still game breaking problems in the sequel, but if you can somehow get passed the lag, faulty hit detection, cheap moves, and broken Super Souls, (in short, playing with friends like our good ol Two Idiots do) you can have a genuinely good time.
The good old days man. I remember the duels with Toastie, Afro and the squad during the beta test back in the day. Those videos used to be the highlight of my day, how far we've come Dino. ❤️

I started playing it again recently, bought it cause the deluxe was on sale a couple weeks ago (random fact: I had XV1 on the 360 and bought a PS4 so I could play XV2) and it's been a fun trip down memory lane. The awful RNG, Ultimate Finishes sometimes not triggering, and the CPU ignoring my teammates to gang up on me have been my only true knocks on the game but those are big, annoying flaws that make me appreciate XV2 more than I already do lol

You have to fight like 5 saibamen, first with Yamcha and Tien, then another round with I think Krillin and Gohan, maybe Piccolo, too? But it's a multi-enemy mission and your allies are rather weak, so it gets annoying trying to take them all down and they can easily overwhelm you if they decided to be assholes about it, especially if you're only like, level 3-5, which you would be if you went straight to that part of the story and ignored the PQ's. Even with the PQ's, I think you'd only be level 5-7, which still makes it annoying.

Xenoverse 1 was universal for its time since that it was the first dbz game that had cacs with every race instead of just male Saiyan like in UT. But now that we have xenoverse 2 which heavily improve most of the flaws of the first game, we now know just how bad xenoverse 1 was.

I mean most people in Xenoverse 1 played Male Saiyans anyways because they were the only race that could use Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan was absolutely busted because it allowed you to spam Ultimates with absolutely no punishment because burst dashes weren't a thing yet. I remember there would just be endless lobbies full of Saiyans that had either: SSJ + Super Electric Strike SSJ + Emperor's Death Beam SSJ + Blue Hurricane They added the Unlock Potential skill for every other race in one of the DLCs but it didn't have infinite KI so there was no reason to use it over Super Saiyan.

The reason I'm playing this game in 2025 is because it was on sale in the PlayStation store for 4.99. and I bought all the DLC for this game which was an extra 11.01. I'm honestly having a good time.
I remember watching that stupid ass kaioken x20 build on cellza when it came out. Playing this game when it came out and growing with the community was truly one of the best video game experiences I’ve ever had.
The main thing that made Xenoverse 2 great was the locked 60fps. I still remember the time they announced it and I knew that was gonna make a huge difference. But even then Xenoverse 2 has many porblems with lag so considering Xenoverse 1 was only 30fps you can't really expect much.
Coincidentally I played this game as well just yesterday. One thing I love about this game is how nostalgic the music is for me. And I honestly love the villainous characters over the current super villain characters. But I have to admit there were many large improvements from XV1 to XV2
2015, a year before Xenoverse 2 was out. I feel like the first game was a successful project and that Xenoverse 2 was the real Xenoverse game considering how much more support it has compare to the first one.

Nah if you play the first XenoVerse for a bit it actually becomes decent. It's hard to get back into, but every now an then I hop back in, because I need to get 1 more attack in order to get the Platinum Trophy(the RNG for attacks is way worse in this one compared to XV2).

We gonna bring up that Super God Fist is still just as broken as it was in XV1? The hit detection doesn't make sense half the time, I stopped playing Ranked because people used to run SGF all the time and spam it, for whatever reason they always had 1-3 bars so whenever they used it, it just bypassed my block and Z-Vanishes.
Honestly,the only thing i'd say xv 1 was superior in was its story and its "normal" cutscenes compared to xv2's "normal" cutscenes,but the rest is clearly goes to xv2 being superior
I remember maxing one cac then creating a new cac, equipping that blue hurricane move, then spam high level quests until you max your new cac. It was very convenient that parallel quests didn’t reset with your new cac.
You can do an infinite combo with any character with kamehameha. Also any character that has a combo that shoots the character upward can get infinites. Also gokus X X X X X Y is infinite by itself.

Recently played thru Dark souls 2 then dark souls 1 because ive only played 3 and absolutely love that game! Seeing games improve from what they were is absolutely my favorite thing when it comes games in general.
The game that has evolved for me is halo, it's insane how much the game has and hasn't changed. Halo CE was really floaty with the tac nuke frag grenades, sucks that mcc didn't use the OG Xbox port and used the PC port for online, the magnum was tweaked for online to not have campaign stats but gear box and the PC port didn't change that.
I'm playing this game atm to just get through the story and parallel quests. Maybe get every character who knows. Then I'll go to XV2. Partly because I know at the beginning it shows your hero from xv1 as a statue and I need that feel good energy

Back when every Boss Enemy had Super Armor, and Super Saiyan was the best way to handle almost all Combat.
One of the few games that made an effort to improve upon and master the formula of the first. Not another copy and paste. Much praise

Recently played thru Dark souls 2 then dark souls 1 because ive only played 3 and absolutely love that game! Seeing games improve from what they were is absolutely my favorite thing when it comes games in general.
Bruh what are the chances. On December 10th I played xenoverse 1 as well but on my old ps3 that I've had for 8 years now.
God the parallel quests and nonstop super armour were a pain in the ass, but back then this game was the tids for me!
SS4 Vegeta is still locked behind dlc for this game (a preorder bonus specifically)
The game that has evolved for me is halo, it's insane how much the game has and hasn't changed. Halo CE was really floaty with the tac nuke frag grenades, sucks that mcc didn't use the OG Xbox port and used the PC port for online, the magnum was tweaked for online to not have campaign stats but gear box and the PC port didn't change that.

I'm playing this game atm to just get through the story and parallel quests. Maybe get every character who knows. Then I'll go to XV2.
