The definitive tier list! I'm proud to have my bad pun be featured when it doesn't have any relevance at all. The visuals on this one were very good! The entering and exiting animations were nice to see, and reading some comments was a great way to get the general opinions and making people keep watching to see if their comments got in lol, you outdid yourself on this one! Fav vid other than the sharp shadow deep dive

I'm kinda surprised that no Pale Court boss managed to get to the top 3, but knowing which ones are there, it's understandable (That 1% in F tier in NKG's poll should be either gitting gud or burning in hell *MEGALOVANIA starts* ) I wonder what will be the next rank, benches? No, too MilesNugget. Characters tier? Based on community polls? Hell yeah, I want that.
I would guess it is because not everyone has played them, so even though the ones who did selected S tier, the overall majority of HK playerbase has played the vanilla bosses and they all agree they are God Tier, so 90% of 100 people is more than 90% of 25
I've always been a fan of both uumuu fights because you couldn't just march in and decimate it as fast as possible as you'd do for most other bosses, but you had to watch and wait for the right moment to strike. Godhome Uumuu is a fight that rewarded patience and precision which is what makes it one of my favourite bosses. Also, decisive battle ost 🤩
As a GPZ lover, I absolutely understand why people dont like him, but to me all the things they dont like (the unpredictability in particular) feed into the vibes so much that theyre worth it.

Looking at all lowest ranked bosses, people really don't like bosses that requires patience where there's significant stretches of time where you need to just dodge and wait for an opening. ..Which makes sense when you look at the highest ranked bosses, and they all require constant reacting with small opportunities to strike back sprinkled throughout their merciless barrage of attacks.
Good observation. I wonder why that is? Perhaps it is because most of the players exposure to the bosses is through the Pantheons, and when you're trying to complete something that is as long as a Pantheon then you'd probably want to get through it as fast as possible.
I could never decide on if I loved NKG or PV more, I love both but NKG lasts longer which gives me more time to stress out on radiant which is what I live for. Though honestly as of late Sly has been moving up my rankings, little dude is really fun and when you learn how to deal with his infamous beyblade impression it feels choreographed like NKG and PV.

PV is my fav, the thing that helps that is that I beat him on radiant seconds try after beating him on ascended. I think that juste speaks to the quality of his design. Sob is my 2nd fav though

I was surprised to see mawlek so far down the list. If you've ever fought Mawlek in steel soul or a randomizer, he is easily one of the most fun fights in the entire game. Spacing yourself to be in-between the arc of his projectile while pogoing off his left side but not being too close as to not get hit when he jumps is so rewarding to do right because you can just absolutely smite this boss in record time without it EVER feeling like it was a freebie. Also, putting winged nosk below vengefly king is unforgivable, you're comparing a stock, boring and bland apple to a green apple. They might share some dna but that doesn't mean they're THAT terrible. At least you GET to fight winged nosk, Vengefly King dies before it even gets to attack most of the time unless you're in pantheon 5! Im sorry no, Hollow Knight is not a 6th place boss. It barely even qualifies as a footnote before Radiance, and the boi's constantly just leaving himself vulnerable to being attacked making it a soul magnet and fundamentally impossible to lose as a result. Telegraphs are way too long for how late into the game you fight it, and the length of the fight in any non-dream no more setting is just mind-numbing. THK is just a sandbag. No Pale Lurker honorable mention? sad but understandable. I bet most people forget they exist in the game all things considered. I've always wondered how they would've redesigned Pale Lurker for ascended or radiant, since I imagine TC would've loved to have added a more dynamic Pale Lurker to the game. Imagine what they could've done if they boxed them into an arena with a wall in the middle with spikes on the top, imagine the kind of arena traps that the Pale Lurker could set up to make the floor like lava. Imagine fighting the Pale Lurker on the walls of the arena and how dynamic the fight could've been. It's such a shame that the mini-boss with the highest potential for improvement in the game was relegated to a footnote before the real meat and potatoes of the postgame.
I'm glad the PC bosses did so well;.their fights are both challenging and fair at the same time, with (almost) never the feeling of an unavoidable attack (except Mystic Ze'mer after her frenzy's nail wave into descending slash - that combo still gets me :/) and cool rewards. No surprises though for the top 3; NKG is amazing, PV has a cool fight with great symbolic meaning and SoB is the best boss period
