Honestly, my favorite love interest for Makoto is Yukari. I couldn't help but notice even outside her Social Links in Persona 3 Reload, there are options for more flirtatious comments sprinkled throughout the story. Too bad "The Answer" isn't in this game, as Yukari takes on the role of the tritagonist during that time.

Reload Yukari sounds much more empathetic and caring, which makes the moment you do romance her all the more genuine and real. Like she's happy, because after the moment at the beach, I think that was the realization that she loves the MC.
I really like the music that plays when you max out a bond, makes you feel good for putting the time into a person. Elizabeth’s little speech is also really good

But it can be quite off-putting. Especially since initially she only cared so much about you because of the immense guilt that she felt after trapping Death inside you. But at the end of the day, if I'm going to be with someone they definitely have to be human. And it's not because Aigis's hardware is not up to par, with our current technology that can be fixed. But it's just the idea of teaching your partner about the world and learning how to become human when that should be done without any romantic implications first. It just feels icky to me. But I do respect her affections for the MC and her effort in trying to express herself.

Heather Gonzalez’s version of Yukari fits her character so much better. Obviously until Reload we only had Michelle Ruff but after playing the game with the new Yukari, Michelle’s voice just doesn’t fit her at all in my opinion.
Honestly, Michelle Ruff was a lot better as Kawakami in Persona 5. Her Yukari was basically her being Rukia from Bleach. And yeah, Heather Gonzalez, I was worried about, but after playing I love how genuinely more pleasant, and approachable Yukari sounded, and she felt like someone who truly empathized, and understood the MC's unfortunate circumstances. Thank God Reload made her much more accurate to her Japanese characterization, instead of the typical bitchy mean girl Tsundere in the original.
