From 1995 to 2020 I was a French door diehard. But....about 4 years ago, side by sides started interesting me. If I were to buy a French door again, I would definitely buy the one freezer drawer style. Multiple drawers and doors just seem too complicated to me, and I agree with you about compressors at the bottom putting the top shelf too high to really use.
Can I install panel ready MONOGRAM 42" built in side by refrigerator next to a wall oven? How much space should be needed between the wall oven cabinet and the refrigerator? Thanks!
I dont understand how come you mentioned reliability is great for sub zero. My sister's subzero has some issues every 2 years. (She lives in westford) .. i live in an old house but has poans to gu it and put new one in next year or so, which is why i am here.
I am looking at 42 inch classic side by side Sub-Zero. It comes with 2 compressors but just one condenser. Is having one condenser for such a big fridge the standard? If i buy each parts separate (freezer/fridge) then each unit seems to have its own condenser/compressor.
Sz is the only company to use two compressors. Having one condenser is normal and also impossible to fit two on one fridge. It's the largest part of the mechanism. Of course two separate units is a bit better but SZ uses a sealed system so you won't notice any difference anyway
Thermador 42” 4 drawer is the worst, purchased 5 mo ago and have had service out 6x, Ice maker overflows and their in house fix does not work. Customer service says the will help but its only to get you off the phone. Was promised a replacement but that still has not happened they keep sending service out or starting over. Retailer even said they are awful to deal with.

Can you confirm that the SKS 42” is a bottom compressor? Is the top shelf unreachable as a result.
Yes....

If you were purchasing for yourself would you go French door or individual refrigerator/freezer columns?
Question for you: How would you use it?
I was wondering if you could address dents on stainless steel panels. Which is the most sturdy brand.
