Probably because you down pick the entire song. Nothing wrong with that though, when you gain the stamina required downpicking usually sounds alot better due to increased attack on each stroke and note :)

It would be a major pain in the ass to recalibrate a Floyd rose for just one song. This sounds great and the different key seems to take the vibe of the song to a different place. I've always liked when people cover a song and manage to make it their own somehow.
