2NC0 - Mountain Aire, a great Mountain top airport, near the highest peak in the Appalachian Mts. and 6S9 - Stehekin State, in WA state. exactly the opposite. Dirt strip in the valley and the north edge of Lake Chelan.
Big Bear, L35, in SoCal. But you need to get the airport and surrounding scenery mods by Josue Mejia and FlightSimDude or Santa Catalina, KAVX, with scenery mod by Josue Mejia. Nice tutorial Tim!
@@virtualDon Thank you Don. I am interested in the AVX scenery. That's an airport I've always wanted to go to in real life. I've nearly flown over the top of it a few times but never landed at it.
Literally just did two of these in Alaska and was hoping to find something specific about it. I opened up TH-cam and your video was right there waiting for me!
Yes but the intent of the video was to show how to do a DME arc manually. Otherwise, select the fix where the arc begins and leave the AP in NAV. In the real-world, I'll let the AP and FMS do the arc all day long.
Absolutely, if the airplane has working VNAV. The source would need to be changed over to the approach type (VOR, ILS, etc.) prior to the final approach fix but you can use VNAV up to the FAF as I do in this VNAV video on an ILS approach: th-cam.com/video/Uu36df6145g/w-d-xo.html The approach starts around 10:55.
Looks like you have the first position of flaps already at the start of this tutorial. When would you normally start extending the flaps in the TBM 930?
They were put down by default but it wasn't hurting anything so I left them down. As long as you're slowed to approach speed and full configured at or prior to the FAF you can add them whenever. Normally, a downwind or base leg when being vectored on an approach is a good time to start slowing down and adding T/O flaps.

Got it, thanks! In the 737 and if I remember it correctly, you have the 3-2-1 rule. Meaning you want to be at 3000 ft, doing 200 knots with flaps 1 selected no later than when reaching the FAF
What are your favorite secluded and or scenic airports in FS2020?

Burke Lakefront in Cleveland has a great nighttime approach next downtown. KBKL
@WhyAlways I want to check those out. Do you know the identifiers for each?

That is some good timing. I just published this video late last night.
Your tutorials are truly great! Short but sweet and very both informative and helpful 👍
Thank you again! No fluff, just to the point.
Great Video. Thanks.
You are welcome. DME arcs are some of the more obscure procedures but glad to see someone looking it up and trying to learn it.
Thanks! Great tutorial!
Another wonder explanation and demonstration of techniques for flying a DME Arc and intercept the Localizer?😁🛫
Being as the arc was in your flight plan on the MFD, couldn’t you have just left the AP in Nav?

@@thecorporatepilotdad ok, that’s what I thought. Thx!
Hi, is it possible to use VNAV (around 11') for the step descent till you capture de Glide ?

Thank you, I will check !
