Nice guy...funny guy...He's gone through a lot...Just the music industry period is like shark infested waters...in fighting with band members, royalties disagreements , getting screwed over by record labels...blah blah blah...I've been there done all that...Sure, some of his problems may be self inflicted (alcohol, and drugs) but he's important and was an important member of W.A.S.P.'s rise to fame...It's just to bad it turned out the way that it did.

Spencer Dryden died broke, despite being Jefferson Airplane's drummer for almost 3 decades, and being Charlie Chaplin's only living relative. Not that these guys are bad people, but they usually make bad choices and only live for the moment, and never make long range plans. At least Chris is still alive, and will hopefully do well.
I am currently going through cancer my second time in two years. People do not what to say or do when you are going through the various treatments. Sometimes friends and family just cannot emotionally handle your cancer for one reason or another. I can say this. I have lost friends who I thought were my friends. There were times when I was awake at 3am sick, almost praying to die, wondering where my friends were. Wishing ,hoping and praying for a friend to text me, asking me if I was ok, or just to say I’m thinking about you. Nothing but silence. It hurts. The pain was real. Both physically and emotionally.
Pray when you wake up at that hour. People will fail you but God will not. Repent and pray for family and friends, and then yourself. See what happens!!

I'm a Chris Holmes fan, but he has his own money to pay for treatment and more than most of us - He lives in the French Riveria, which is one of the most expensive places in Europe, but his wife keeps hitting everyone up for money (successive 'go fund me' pages). You'd expect Blackie to contribute some but not all. I think it's very poor that his previous band mates and friends didn't contact him during that distressing time and I'm pleased that he's back up and running.

When the interviewer asked if Blackie reached out to him and acknowledged that he made a post wishing him well (1:50) Chris sort of mumble/stammers something like "I didn't... I mean, I could he could help pay for my treatment" but trailed off (1:56). They didn't elaborate or clear that up but I understood that as Blackie paid for some. Now I'm not so sure, but not certain.

@@commanderwilliamtriker7449 I understood he said nobody from W.A.S.P. reached out to him. Giving it another listen I could be wrong about the payment part. When the interviewer asked if Blackie reached out to him and acknowledged that he made a post wishing him well (1:50) Chris sort of mumble/stammers something like "I didn't... I mean, I could he could help pay for my treatment" but trailed off (1:56). They didn't elaborate or clear that up but I understood that as Blackie paid for some. Now I'm not so sure, but not certain.
@@mattrock12 Yeah Chris does mumble a lot🤣but yeah, i was disappointed that Blackie would not reach out during Chris' hard times. I donated $20 to his hospital needs while i was broke, because i care about Chris, so there is no excuse, please don't take it personal because i love Blackie but i thought that was very sad that he didn't do anything for Chris. But it is what it is and God knows who is sincere and who is not.
@@commanderwilliamtriker7449 Thanks for the friendly reply, and I won't take any of it personally. I'm also very disappointed in Blackie. Very sad indeed, especially considering it seems he screwed Chris out of royalties (according to Chris. Though the language and way Blackie dances around it, I tend to believe Chris on this). I found it surprising that millionaire friend, Nikki Sixx, "only" donated $500 (which Chris did state to be "a lot of money") as I would think he could have helped him out much more generously? That said, I have no idea what other contributions and donations Sixx makes throughout the year, so I hesitate to judge. In any case, Cheers! And get well Chris!
