- In todays video, i show you how to install a log stove into a garden shed roof, creating a water tight seal. I also fire up the log burner to dry it out and i give the shed a good clean. I also show you how to install a skylight into the shed roof. A storm arrived at the fig and olive plot garden. While stuck in the shed i cook up some plot food on the stove. The no dig raised beds are growing well with winter onions and garlic
Fantastic job making the shed a cosy place to take breaks from the garden.
It's been such an asset..it now has a little kitchen area too..

I’m so envious of your weather and sunshine. We have very grey winters because we’re on a large lake, and we’ve had lots of early snow and freezing temps. Gardening is a vicarious experience and I really appreciate being able to step into your garden with you. 🇨🇦🇨🇦👩🌾🪴👍👍❤️. Thanks, Danny.

You need to keep the door shut Danny when you are cooking. All the neighbouring plot holders will be over for your food. Your little wood burner looks just a job in that shed. All the best, Nic 👍

That stove is great 👍 I'm thinking 🤔 of getting one like that as well for quite a while. I wasn't sure how save it is but that silicone protection looks convincing.
Oh I'd highly recommend. That silicone seal was a god send. All waterproof. I do have a metal guard for the back that I'm fitting this week. Also reflects the heat back into the shed

Same as my stove that matey , get yourself a little fan for the top it throws the heat all around , and if you can put a couple of flags behind as a fire back that will throw the heat back that your losing through the back , sheds coming on nicely pal catch you soon

Really enjoyed that Danny. You are the first allotment TH-camr I have found that is enjoying the allotment in the same way as me! I was on my plot in the dark this morning. Just installed two solar lights, one in the shed and one above the front door, so I can see to unlock in the dark. Then it is light the fire, put the huge kettle on to boil and sit back! I used the exact same bit of kit to put the chimney through the roof. I put mine through the conventional shed roof with felt - no problem. You clearly know what you’re doing, but again from my experience with the stove, I would advise you strip the chimney out after a few uses and take 5 minutes to clean each section with a wire brush. They clog very quickly with soot, and the smoke will back up into the shed! But you have inspired me - I am going to follow your lead and put in a glass roof light, love the idea. Oh Danny you might have started things now people see the big breakfast i can see more people escaping wives etc and disappearing to the shed with basket in hand not to be seen again until its dark. It is a beaut view too and the window skylight brilliant.

Hey! Why thank you so much! Tbh I'm not sure! If you search tent stove there's quite a few to choose from. I've not had it long enough to test it (so far so good) and wouldn't want you to buy because I said haha.

Haha no smoke. The chimney has a spark resister inside and if the logs are fully dry. They shouldn't smoke. But we shall see haha! Thank you Miriam 😊🌱❤️

you may need a heat guard behind your wood stove.
for your gaps between the tin roof at the eaves look up eaves fillers they are less than three pound.
