All around, I find myself using the tounge as I run through the game for the hell of it. I don't mind a mid boss challenge on my way to the main one.

I'm a total Elden Ring pvp newb. I'm level 150 carian spellsword build. I'm like 1W 23L in duels and 1W 4L in invasions. That being said I'm loving it! It's seriously fun and addictive. I learn something every time even when losing. Lol.

Yeah you can learn a lot from watching Chase, I think I learned most about pvp in souls games watching him, saint_riot, Fighter. PL, Lost, and Revan619.

@@ieatcaribou7852 for sure, we were all newbie’s at one point. I started on dark souls 2. It’s definitely the odd one out but if you’re patient it’s kinda different but still fun. (Others will disagree with me).

Dual Sleep swords and dual vykes spear = very fair and not broken at all
Those sleep swords are the reason I say sleep/madness needs a nerf. That build alone is basically unbeatable, unless you're -specifically- set up to poise-break non-stop or chip him from range. And that's not even countng the constant sleep procs -through- rolls. It's actual, honest-to-goodness cancer, and I can't figure out hwo people enjoy doing it.
The same reason people used pre-nerf RoB: everything in this game is designed to funnel you down the path of using the most braindead meta garbage. This is why the pve is so bad and the majority of the pve is miserable unless you cheese.
The new casuals brought flocked onto this like flies to a corpse, veterans not so much. The problem lies in the face that the idea of an open world souls game, while very stupid, has an immense allure to it that brought in swathes of clueless new players that drowned out even those who only played three, making proper gatekeeping impossible.

@@Archimedes.5000 I really doubt it. You can’t roll through sleep procs, and those swords were procing in like 1-2 hits, plus he was doing no damage cause the phantom was so over leveled. You saw in the next fight how he got really close to dying pretty much every time he got hit

That dude had dual straight swords and only spammed poise trades, it's not impossible to keep poking from distance until he dies or go for a parry, the host wasn't doing shit too

The sleep dual swords guy is a perfect example of why I don't bother with lower level PvP. Sure you can still get higher lvl phantoms at 125 but at least you are on a reasonable build by then

Sleep/Madness needs a nerf man. Just making it dodgeable like other status effects would already be a massive improvement.
I only agree with Madness proc being dodgable, but fuck nerfs! Then they won't be fun like what they did to Rivers.
Don't get me wrong, fuck ROB but they could've balanced it but they MASSACRED it.
I don't want that happening to Sleep Or Madness sets because they are incredible procs as well as they have their own shortcomings (such as Sleeps abysmal range and Madness abilities incredibly slow start ups) that I feel balance them out enough;
they're not so bad that they need a "fix".

You should do more cosplay build videos like in dark souls 3 , really missed those times having themed invasions and tutorials on how to make a certain character.

I hate the dual st.trina sword and dual vyke spear build with bullgoat so much. Everytime I see them, I will just run around leading them to the mobs or stage kills.
Yeah honestly both of those are more cancerous than RoB ever was. They really just needed to nerf bleed, madness, and sleep across the board instead of focusing on RoB.
Banger video as usual. Have you ever considered keeping the Bestial Constitution on hand in case you run out of boluses? I find it especially useful on low level builds since you don’t have easy access to them, it also only has a 9 faith requirement.
Most dedicated PvPers will just reload their save or dupe in order to not worry about running out of boluses. Plus it’s faster to use a bolus than cast

Is the unscaled phantom glitch back in elden ring? The fight around 10:00. I haven’t really tried much PvP in elden ring yet but that looked sus.
It’s not a glitch, it’s just that they did a terrible job of scaling gold phantoms in this game.

@@Emoralis Yeah thankfully I don’t run into over leveled phantoms too much (from what I can tell at least), but I also never invade at low levels like this. At first the ganks pissed me off, but I now I just go gank hunting with a build specifically designed for that and it’s actually pretty fun
