2 units for me Thanks for the quick informative and straight to the job at hand. I wondered if it had oil in the pump, and thanks to you i now it does. Thanks.😂
I put stabil in all my gas cans before I fill them so it’s always in all my small engines. The pressure washer has been around for a long time and it’s just stored in the basement so it can’t freeze. So far so good…
We winterize our pressure washing systems and pumps with an air compressor not to exceed 90 PSI and blows all the water out within 3 to 4 minutes. Do you not find this effective as opposed to how you’re winterizing yours? I understand about the gasoline I’m just concerned more so about the water as it expands by 10% and that would do a lot of damage to the pump hoses and a lot of other components within the our systems. Just seems a lot quicker. Any feedback will be appreciated.
The way I do it is cheap and effective. For the gas drain the tank and carb of fuel and keep starting it till it no long runs. For the pump just remove all hoses and let it drain, tilting it helps. As for fuel stabilizer there’s been a test done that shows none of them do anything. Just drain the gas out and when you need it wether it one a few months if a few years just fill it with fresh gas and it will always start no problem.
Preventive maintenance is the "oz of prevention to prevent the pound of cure" Hey Rob, off subject and out of pure cat like curiosity, as a Stablia owner myself, what is the wrench looking tool, hanging by the dust collection hose and nail gun shelf?
That was after the last time I had to put apart and clean the carburetor, removing a lot of greenish gunk. I don't like my hands to smell like gasoline. Nor do I like the detrimental health effects of it (other alcohol-containing liquids are far better suite for this). The ethanol-free gas never gave me any problems.
Ive never had a problem leaving gas in the tank without treatment. I leave ethanol free 91 and fill the tank all the way to the top so condensation cant form in the tank. Been doing this for years and never had a problem.
Great videos I just subscribed this doesn't related to your your video here I just want to know what your take is on the metabol 36 volt cordless table saw I'm just a DIY guy home do you recommend it still
What’s your opinion of emptying the tank and running the engine until it’s completely empty? Some people suggest doing this for the winter. Do you have an opinion of Home Depot’s pump armor?
No opinion on pump armor but it sounds similar to what I use. Running the tank empty removes the gas from the tanka and carburetor. I like to keep fuel in there because it’s impossible to get every last drop of gasoline out. When oxygen attacks the small fuel droplets left behind, it causes gum and varnish. If this debris settles in the wrong place, such as a needle valve tip, the carburetor will need cleaning. Allowing your gas tank to sit empty for long periods leaves a huge area for water vapor to condense causing possible corrosion in the tank, fuel lines, carburetor. Fuel lines and rubbers are designed to live in fuel and can become brittle and crack when exposed to air. Hope this helps
I know I’m not who you asked but my method for running fuel out is to do it with ethanol free gas. If you do that with ethanol gas there’s still some fuel left in the carb and lines which runs the risk of humming up. At a minimum if you’re going to store with ethanol fuel or run out with ethanol fuel either get Stabil marine or Stabil 360.
That pump saver can is a great tip!! Thanks for the tip that will save my power washer..

Excellent summary along with detail explanations of why you are doing everything. Well done!
Thank you for your prep lesson !!! 🤔😀😎🖖
Thanks Rob 😎🛠️😎🛠️😎

Pull the cord, once? or multiple times?
That's what I do. I tip the machine to where the inlet and outlet nozzle are facing down and pull the cord till water stops coming out.

Thanks for the advice
Thank you
Just a quick question I have an electric pressure washer that I keep in a heated garage. DonI need to do anything to it before the winter?
Thx

Bottle opener ;)
I use ethanol-free gas only.

Good job
Thanks

I haven’t reviewed it personally but I’ve heard it’s badass
Hope you use high test gas
Do I have to do this if I storage it in a heated basement.. also I never keep gas in it.
No

What are your thoughts of running the ethanol free gas (Lowes/HD) through your machine until empty? Just thinking as opposed to the stabilizer method.
GREAT stuff but pricey

Clutch.
You shouldn't mention that for people of the lawn mowers too Or any other small engines with the stabilizer Or drain your gas tank
