  • WARNING Diving in an overhead environment is extremely dangerous as you DO NOT have immediate access to the surface during an emergency. Attempting to go into a cavern or cave should only be done after receiving proper training.
Welcome to Jackson Blue Springs, home to one of the coolest caverns and cave systems for scuba diving. Home to Ed Sorenson and Cave Adventurers this beautiful fresh water spring is not only for divers but for families as well. Its crystal clear waters is amazing to swim and relax in. The park has a diving board and slide as a fun way to get into the water. In this video my dive buddy and I venture into the cavern to explore for the first time. The cavern was huge with a ton of geologic history layered throughout the limestone, which made the dive very interesting as we were always finding new layers and new fossils. Additionally, Orca Torch sent me the D719 Dive Light to test and review. Check out the video to see my thoughts on it.

I will start my sidemount and Technical diver training early next year and then will venture into getting full cave certified.
The Blue Springs provides water to Merritt’s Mill Pond, a 202-acre reservoir and well-known fishing spot. For the last four decades, this principal spring and headwaters have been subcontracted to Jackson County and operated as a leisure facility with swimming, picnicking, and some scuba diving instruction and discovery.
With a year-round water temperature in the range of 68-72℉, Jackson Blue Springs pumps an impressive 64.6 million gallons daily. The crystalline fluid is one of the most visually stunning in the region and is built for visitors. Surrounded by trees and many types of birds, the peaceful atmosphere is very popular among residents and visitors.
