As a 8 year old Me and my twin brother watched the Marlins win the World Series against the Indians. After that we loved baseball. We asked for a baseball game and got this the next Christmas. Still remember the Ken Griffey cheat code. loved this game so much.
I played this sooooo much as a kid. The one detail that the next gen games don't do is when the game is a blow out, the fans start leaving the stadium.
I was hoping to see Mike Lansing. When he played the Shortstop position... he was sooooo good. I know he was a Second Baseman, but I've only seen him play as a Shortstop.
Bruuuuuh! Love this game and love using the expos in season mode. But I do the "dream team" draft and only select players who actually played for the expos in their career at one point. Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, larry Walker, Vladimir Guerrero, moises alou, Delino deshields(sr), Fernando tatis(sr). I mean, im loaded. 😆 Trying for that 162-0 regular season. 🤞
The computer would accept any 3 for 1 trade but it would then release 2 players, that you could then pick up and trade again, so you could have a super all-star team of the 25 best players.
Haha I used to do this too for literally every pennant race season mode I did (dozens and dozens). I randomly found out that a trade involving Paul Molitor and Edgar Martinez could net you any of the Large circle stars in the game minus Griffey (Bonds, Frank Thomas, Larry Walker, Piazza), and after you completed each trade you could do 3 for 1 trades to acquire Molitor and Martinez back separately and then do the whole process again. Basically if you did 3 for 1’s dozens of times, you could eventually make a package strong enough to get any All Star but it was always Molitor and Edgar Martinez, also big saucer hitters, that were cheap that could net you any 10 hitter in the game with a trade package involving both of them.
This actually looks fun for an N64 baseball game! I am looking for to get a cheap one to add to my game collection. This one's still going for$15 and higher on eBay, so I will wait.
So I'm from pittsburgh that year the pirates traded for Brian Giles from the Indians. So in season play when I was the pirates I always traded for him but there was a problem in the game his character was black but he was white in real life. Anybody ever notice that
Johnny Damon has a darker skin tone in the game as well. 👀 He's my starting CF on my all time* tigers team in season mode. You should see my lineup..... 😲

In season mode a player can't steal more than 127 bases. For whatever reason it won't record any steals after that number
