I would enjoy the invasion experience more......if people didn't just get eliminated for camping, didn't give up, get killed by friendly infantry, or just actually wanted to have a good ol fashioned me versus them.......
I guess I've been very lucky recently with my match ups. I do get a few people who die to AI, but I'd say its the minority. The other two are rarely/never occuring in recent weeks.
For every 5 crappy games (5 minutes or less, death by friendly infantry, suicide, stop invasion etc) I get one, really really good matchup. (Long but fun, be it popping shots back and forth, or rematching over and over)
If you’re far away, you should start running towards their location when their position gets revealed without phone use, so camping, sprint towards them as soon as they get marked, most of the time you will get there before they are killed and I have yet to experience a camper who has found a place where I can’t get.
Just started watching your videos which are probably the best out there for this game, good to see someone who enjoys the x-axis invasion as much as myself….on 732 kills and counting…roll on a thousand 👌🏻
I just hit 1000 this past weekend. I'm gonna try for two but it seems like queuing takes so much longer than it used to. Idk if the game is losing players or if more players are just turning off invasion but it's one of the best parts of the game for me. Campaign is a lot of fun but ruining other people's campaigns is a LOT more fun.
Great session. My favourite - and a masterpiece of quick thinking and precision from my point of view - is the 2:1 in Landing Force at the beginning. Very difficult situation brilliantly concluded.
That was a tough one. The blind shot at the player in the town was to try and spook him enough to give me the time to deal with the one in the lighthouse. The player in the town was also inside the building, I think the window messed up the aim assist, and a quick and accurate shot without it was always going to be tricky because it was tough to see them. Great shooting from both players, I’m lucky I didn’t get completely wiped out by the lighthouse player in the first place!
A nice long invasion vid to make my day! I only just hit 75 kills on invader and it honestly took alot lol. Hopefully I can watch this and either learn something or just enjoy your gameplay as always! Love the vids, keep it up! P.S: should make a small vid showcasing your weapon setups!
Just keep going to it and take your time! If nothing else you watching these vids will teach you how to defeat me, at least! 🤣 I’m glad you enjoy the content, I really enjoy making it! As for the weapon thing, it would be difficult because I change them all the time depending on what video I’m producing that week! I wish you could save unique rifle configurations with the load outs!
I’ve started posting play sessions on the community page, loud run of Rough Landing is next, and more Axis Invasion recording next weekend! We’ve got 2 public holidays in the UK for the next two Mondays so I might even try to squeeze a couple of extra sessions in!
Another great SE5 video right off the bat! Always lightens up my day a l'il Though I just wanted to know, will you do the "Save Churchill" dlc along with the Hitler dlc missions in your SE3 playthrough? Cheers!
@duckwit ggs on secret weapons I would get stuck on that hill in front of the kill list. Also have you gotten this glitch we’re the German officers body is invisible except their head, it’s very weird
It was great fun again, really enjoyed it! Just a shame you had bad luck with those trap hit boxes on Conqueror! Secret Weapons was also great fun, and you were right to end it when you did, once I knew you were starting on that ledge it made it too predictable. I haven’t experienced the floating head thing but I’ve seen videos of it, it’s such a weird glitch. Kind of wish I had encountered it, I think it would be quite funny, at least initially!
That would make sense, but when you say it, it sounds almost exactly like an extremely common British slang term often used to insult people and the 'c' isn't capitalised like its the start of a name, so I’m not entirely convinced that it’s not deliberate.
Yes. The invaded player has immediate access to the phone, only has to wait 30 seconds or so between uses, and their first two calls reveal the invader’s location without revealing the position they are calling from. This is why you’ll sometimes hear me refer to Karl’s “two free phone calls”. The third call reveals both the locations of the invader and the invaded player. The invader has to wait 5 minutes before they can use the phone and it always gives their location away, even if it’s the first use.
Is authentic worth playing on? Im on war factory but my controller drift is horrible so im waiting on a new one, i like the no hud and the need to line up shots but thats about it besides more stealth involved... Love the content though:)
I guess it depends on how much challenge you want! I like having no assistance, and I don’t like the focus mode in this game. I also like not having the tagging system as it makes it harder to keep track of enemies. So I like it, although it feels watered down in this game compared to the older entries in the series. Stick drift is absolutely frustrating on any difficulty, although I don’t personally use a controller on this game (although I do on some games).
@@duckwit85 i like it to an extent but meh, i do prefer to watch you do the loud authentic and invasions, everyone has different preferences for challenge, some like story, others pvp or just really difficult levels for something to do, challenge runs etc, could be better and worse but I'm only on my first playthrough and wanted to do authentic because of your loud run even though I try to do stealth xD games aren't that good at stealth and awareness of PvE usually it makes me not enjoy it as much but i did play Sniper Elite 3,4 & now 5, i also played Metal Gear Solid, Dishonored 1 & 2 etc i guess I'm too picky and want PvE too realistic when it comes to awareness.. regardless though, can't wait till your next video and commentary xD i do like it, maybe a weird compliment but sometimes I get bored quickly and don't watch people just because of the commentary but you're is good, i don't really watch anyone else except for bigMooney06 & MB93, used to watch TheBrokenMachine but i don't know if he plays SE, i watched his Battlefield video since I played 3, 4&1, but enough of my unnecessary rambling, enjoy & hope you have a good one
Sorry, I only found this reply today because it got flagged for review for some reason. I personally find watching perfect stealth runs of games a bit boring, although I do try to be as stealthy as possible when I play but I edit the boring bits out. I will even literally cut out 4 seconds of walking if its not interesting enough because it can ruin the pacing and my goal is to entertain more than anything else, which usually involves heavy editing because I tend to ramble and go off on tangents quite often! bigMooney06 is a big inspiration to me and I really identify with his style of production. I would love to do some videos of the Metal Gear series, but I don't think I could do them justice. The same with Hitman, but I think Mooney has that covered! His kill everyone runs are excellent!
What's the verdict on the buffed Mosin? 🤔 Some nice play from your opponents there! That first Karl on War Factory would've had you if he'd just aimed at the fuel truck lol btw I'm pretty sure that SMG shooting sound on Secret Weapons is a bug... you can hear it all kick off outside when you crawl in through the duct, but when you crawl back outside, it stops!
The SMG noise is deffo a bug, the sound between those two areas hasn't been occluded properly. The Mosin is a much better weapon now if customised for power, although it does make the fire rate abysmal. Upping the fire rate downgrades the control. The tiny increase in fire rate probably isn't worth the hit to control, but I never worry too much about the control stat anyway. The Kar98 has a slightly faster fire rate whilst still having a lot of power, even with a suppressor, so its still the better choice IMO. I do think I will give the Mosin another go, though, for no other reason than its a bit more challenging to use!
I'm not actually using one at the moment (I changed it after this session). There's no big mystery, really, and I don't put much thought into weapon customisation. I customise them all for power. All of the other attributes are secondary and only get changed if the part doesn't reduce the power. The only compromise I will make is for silencers, then I'm willing to take a small hit to the power stat. Pros: stopping power! Cons: harder to control, probably, but thats up to me to compensate for. I mostly ignore the control and mobility stats anyway. I'll record a brief explanation to include in the next video... TLDR; Make the Sjogren Inertia as powerful as possible, that's what I used.
@@danielolsen2330 Its a tough question to answer and I honestly don't really know, again I don't put much thought into it. It largely depends on your aim, your range, your customisation; hence why I go for the power stat over everything. If the weapon is hard to aim it just means I have to be better at aiming it! Even the most powerful weapon might not kill at a medium range+ if you don't hit your target in the right place. It also depends on what you prefer. Some people prefer fire rate, I'm more in the 'slow but powerful' category. I don't think there is a best overall weapon because it depends on too many factors, including personal preference. I change my loadout all the time depending on what I need and how I'm playing that day. I kind of equate it to using someone else's car setup in racing games, something I used to try back when I played F1 sims regularly. I'd gotten pretty good at racing and I used to try other people's setups so see if I could get more speed, but I generally couldn't deal with the handling/car balance because someone else's setup didn't suit my driving style. It's kind of the same with this, I have no definitive answers to questions about loudout because it depends what I'm doing, what I need from my weapons and what suits my play preferences, which is why I don't really think about it much, I just kind of know what I need at the time and choose something appropriate for that situation. TLDR; I don't think I can answer your question effectively because I don't really know myself and I keep changing weapons around for the hell of it. 🤣
I had the same spawn-cheat in axis today...get killed immediately and became seconds later an insulting message (ps4). Sensible to report? Greetings from germany
Sounds like a toxic troll. Report for the insulting message, as that’s abuse and not okay. The spawn camping isn’t cheating though, that’s a design flaw that gets exploited and causes frustration, so you can blame the devs for that one! Edit: also the guys I encountered weren’t spawn camping, I just spawned in front of them by chance. It has happened to me before though, so it is an exploitable thing; hence why I blame the devs!
I’ve been playing since release day and have yet to hit 400, so I guess it’s because I don’t actually play that often! And I do enjoy it, it’s brilliant fun. I enjoy the variety of players and tactics!
I don't generally don't play the multiplayer modes outside of co-op, but don't seem to have much trouble matching with people in invasion mode (Axis Invasion isn't classed as multiplayer within the game, as you invade the single player campaign mode). There has been a load of new players recently because of the summer sales. I'd say if it goes on sale, get it! It's still worth it for the single player campaign.
I've cheated in this game for sure. But I deativate invation then. So im just playing alone. Not being unfair to others. Sometimes I like to cheat in SP games/modes. Would not do it online tho
I do most of the time, as a player who primarily plays authentic mode I have to… aim assist makes me a bit lazy because I don’t normally have it, and I don’t adjust scope zoom a lot of the time because I normally can’t so it’s an afterthought; authentic difficulty restricts zoom and 6x is the best you can have for a Kar98 in authentic mode. Besides I didn’t have to adjust in most of these invasions, targets were within 100m so I don’t need an 8x zoom or need adjust from 50m, but in the two instances where I should have it didn’t matter because I still won (mostly; the guy that got me on Landing Force was behind glass, so I probably wouldn’t have been able to hit him even if I had a clear shot with everything set right because some glass in this game is impenetrable to standard rounds for some reason, which is why invaders should be allowed AP ammo like Karl is!)
I guessing you have mistaken it for the start of Spy Academy, but it’s actually Landing Force, one of the DLC missions. It’s a night mission and is a completely different map.
