Well we have lost another legend, Joe Ligon passed away today. This was very sad news to hear.
Still listen to them every morning, Let Jesus Lead You starts my day everyday 🤗
I love the Mighty clouds of joy there music and ministries have blessed me throughout the years. May Joe Ligon rest in peace FOREVERMORE.
Joe was "truly" a preacher too, hallelujah!!!!!

superdeejaycool Yes, Elmo Franklin passed away in May 2008. Now, we mourn Joe Ligon, who recently passed away on December 11, 2016. They left lasting legacies, each of them, which withstood the test of time, and the members which remain still ably carry on today. I pray for good success and continued longevity for the Mighty Clouds of Joy, as a family, and as an institution. I know walls of excellence are built to last, so they always do. 12/24/2016

superdeejaycool No, I do not know their causes of death. As a fan, I am comforted by the assumption that they both passed away, in the most dignified manners possible, when privately surrounded by loved ones, away from the gaze of public eyes. Elmo Franklin was around 72 years old when he passed away, and Joe Ligon was 80 years old. While it's never enough time, I am of the personal belief that a long, full life is a blessing from God. Most great men, who are blessed to live their number of years, and have done and seen such great things, awesome people, and extraordinary places, beyond most average people's imaginations, have really lived the lives of 10 men. We have to celebrate their lives and legacies. I still pray for the families, who have to adjust to life without their departed loved ones. 12/25/2016

OMG this is one of my favorite groups and song. I sing this song sometimes before or after before Preach. The word of God. I was only at the tender age of 7yrs.old when I first meet the Mighty Clouds of Joy.
