Thanks! Yes that's what I was trying to say in the bloopers...I couldn't think of it...LOL...so far so good....I have that one step with velcro and It makes me mad everytime....Im going to change that some day!! :)
Thanks! Yeah it sure does. I might not be able to do a video a week but is it worth it when it’s something on a larger scale like this? Thanks for watching!
LOL Thanks Ron! Gotta keep laughing, specially in this crazy world today. If I made one person laugh it was all worth it! You crack my up so much so I robbed that from you.
Love the look of these. Hoping I get to have a basement someday lol. It's so great how everyone comes up with creative ways to make a star wars room fit the space they have.
@@WhiteysWickedWorkshop yea, life has taken a rather busy streak. I am hoping as fall comes, maybe I’ll get back to doing some more videos. And most likely sci-fi related Great job on the steps. The look so movie like. And I would imagine the material you used should make walking up and down, more comfortable. Before I know it your basement will be ready for pre flight checks for takeoff
An epoxy remover might do the job, but it might also ruin the material that's stuck on the glue as well. Incase something like too gone doesn't work, it's a last ditch option. I'm liking the steps, not too many people know how to make stairs these days I found out when I had to redo the stairs myself in an apartment unit. I can see everything is really coming together, in time you'll have an amazing room! Hope you find some use for the velcro still
Ill have to try that thanks. (Velcro/tape/glue) Thanks for making me think about it before I actually had to use it. This episode could have been way later that it already was. The double stick tape was much more cost effective also but yeah velcro is always in need. Thanks for watching. Once the main shell is up I can start to fill it in with things along with making the Cantina maybe. Not sure which is first. But I think a prop is due.
@@WhiteysWickedWorkshop Cantina sounds pretty cool to do! Have you figured out like a plan on what you want the area to look like or are you just thinking up projects as you go along for it? Instead of the sticky covering, you can try sanding with an orbital sander or similar with 320 or higher sandpaper. It sounds crazy but I’ve had success with a different type of project.
Thanks for suggestion but these pieces werent totally flat and kind of bowed up on the edges. So I wanted to make sure they were flat so nobody tripped. Thanks for watching!

Not sure which your talking about...at the bottom of stairs is a door for the bathroom...close to under the stairs are automatic pneumatic doors? That what your talking about?
@@WhiteysWickedWorkshop ya, i guess the doors atnthe bottom of the stairs looked un-star-wars'd. Was wondering if you were doing the whole basement in the theme.
@@kelleyplumer8723 that was going to be a normal door for now. Maybe add some greeblies or something later , just so it would blend in. I’m trying to do the larger sections then come back and fill in and clean up. But yes the goal is to make you feel like your in a spaceship of some sort.
HAHA Really? Someone said GooGone and just tried it the other day and it works great. Thanks if I run into something that GooGone dont work with ill try good old faithful WD40!
I'm only in about 3:00, but I wanted to comment on removing the "Sticky Stuff" before I forget. Try the product called Goo Gone. I keep a couple of bottles in my desk at work and a couple of spray bottles under my home sink. It removes sticky residue of all sorts from everything I've used it for.
Thanks! Yeah someone else mentioned it and I purchased it but have not tried it yet.....you reminded me so now i have to find the sheets with the sticky stuff on it! Thanks!

Barge contact cement might be a good solution for gluing the mats down if the tape doesn't last.

Try using baby oil to get the sticky stuff off.

Goo Gone or other citrus based cleaner should remove the sticky residue. You may need to clean again after with glass cleaner.
Thanks Andrew I'll have to check that out. Sounds like you've used it before?

Where did you find the mats that look like grates?
Eva foam floor mats , that were laser etched. Link is in the description.
Is the clear piece that you used just thin acrylic sheeting from Home Depot?
Yes it is. I bought a large sheet and cut it down on my table saw. Supposedly you can purchase it already cloudy. Never looked into it.
