Yikes! I take it these were very unusual conditions for this race? Looks more like a forced march than a race! The photos are beautiful-it was truly an accomplishment to get as far as you did.
There has been snow down during this race before but nothing of this magnitude and no trail break previous as it snowed all night and into race morning. Thank you!
I was the last one that started the race about an hour later from the start time, and I was curious how the runners at the front made the way and navigated. I'm glad that I found my answer here😅
Yeah, I did bump into people after some hours and more when I passed the butler aid station. I did make it to Greenbush and was able to see a lot of people at the end of the day, which was good for sure.
Great video! This race almost seems like the Shawnee Hills trails races last year, where the weather canceled the race. I signed up for the 100k this year, so I may have a DNF in my future! Tough break for you at the Frigid Fox. Sorry it turned out that way.
I have had some bad luck with the weather in my recent races! Safety first of course though so I cannot be too upset. Awesome to hear about the 100k. You got this! Just play it right with the heat (man, it was hot last year). Thank you a ton for the continued support Kevin.
Crazy race conditions!!! Definitely DNF weather. I also had my first DNF at HURT100 last weekend 🙁
Sorry to hear Staci but that is a very very tough 100!! (so I've heard) Way to get after it!!
finally getting to watch bro. been pumped to see this!
Thanks for tuning in brother.
It was a blast to be out on the trail "running" frigid fox with you! Was not expecting the snow to be that deep!!!
You as well Luke. Didn't think it would be that bad but definitely don't regret giving it a shot!

Thanks for tuning in. Did you ever run into anyone? Did you make it to Greenbush aid station?

this is/was wild.., I think all you runners get a mulligan on that one. you and everyone else toed the line.., but the elements had other thoughts.
I agree! they definitely did. Until next time. Thanks for checking it out.
What a crazy "race"!
It was quite the experience, cant be mad at that for a DNF!
