A Puzzle in a Puzzle... that's unafraid to step in.

This puzzle is from the Hamilton Sudoku Series, a set of puzzles created anonymously specifically for my channel. Thank you very much to everyone involved.
📋 Puzzle Rules:
• Normal Sudoku rules apply.
• Battleships: The shaded 6×6 grid is an embedded battleship pencil puzzle. Shade some cells to represent battleships in this area. Battleships cannot touch other battleships, even diagonally. Battleship clues indicate how many ship pieces are found in the row/column. The clues for rows and columns are shown by cells outside the 6×6 with the small arrows. If a row or column has an 'X', then the battleship clue is '0' for the row or column. The fleet comprises two 1-cell ships, one 2-cell ship, and two 3-cell ships, as seen above the grid. All ship pieces have given digits which should appear with that piece in the grid. Pieces may be rotated.
• X Pairs: Cells connected by an X sum to 10.
• Killer Cages. Digits in cages sum to the given value in the top left of the cage. However, digits found on a shaded battleship cell DO NOT add to the total. Digits in a cage do not repeat, regardless of their shading status.

Very interesting puzzle .
Had to settle for watching Bremster , not used to battleship and was confused by the wording for the cages as well.
Maybe better would have been : the water cells in a cage add to the number in the corner of the cage?
The way the rules were written I thought that the cage clues were totally ambiguous.
It said something along the lines that the 6 * 6 battleship section is shaded and shaded battleship clues don't add to the total?

32:40 I made a couple mistakes by forgetting that shaded cells didn't count towards cage totals. But once I started remembering it though, it all fell into place quite easily.

This was an interesting challenge, as I've done battleships puzzles before, but not like this! I was a bit slow on some of the logic that BremSter did see at times faster than I did, but still managed to complete it in 19:41 (conflict checker off). Definitely a lot of fun!
