I am Latino I had a 72 Monte Carlo with an awesome stereo system it was a Low Rider. I would go to Whittier Blvd. in East Los Angeles and cruise playing this song All my buddies loved it. Slide by Slave we would smoke and cranked the volume when the Guitar came in. AWESOME MEMORIES!!!
Wow i mived to SD in 78 and i was in awe 😮when i first saw a low rider. Im still blown away when i see one and im 64 now. This was my jam it was played all the time in KC but we didnt have low riders
@@blxgrl I remember when I was in High School sometimes when new students from out of state came to our school. They would tell me to show them around the school grounds. I remember a white girl came from Wisconsin and she told me, I have never seen a car jump and lowered to the ground before that was back in 74.

@@freddygigliotti7214 yes.... five years ago, I bought Arrington's collection on two cd.... my favourite Arrington songs are mellow grooves like "Sugar momma baby"
If this is your first time hearing this band, please don't let the poor quality of the sound fool you. These men are TRUE MASTERS!!! 💯❤️❤️ Us aunties and uncles *know* how this truly sounds, so we're just having fun *reminiscing* . 😊
To me one of the best acts of gratitude and respect is carrying on the torch with integrity. These Brothers JAMMED!! Can't end a show much better than that.
this song will never get old no matter what u want in a song it's in this master piece the guitar work is unreal ...just an all around classic. I been playing it since I was a kid back in 1977.
I saw slave in 1978 in philly with kool and the gang and santana at the spectrum 10 rows from the stage on the floor right in the middle! What a great great concert!
I laugh when outsiders give their warped definition of what funk is and then try to play it and pass it off as funk. If you weren't born in that time frame you'll never get it as a fan or musician. Thanks for putting this out.
I feel you. It seems they're hiding how bad Slave really was intentionally. Nothing from their early day when they wasn't even the headliner, & would still give audience's 🔥🔥🔥 unmatched performance's. I love this right here💯 But Slave minus Mark Adams is like Parliament without Funkedelic. No disrespect to the rest of the original members, or this line up. I see a few original members here. And they killing it. Love this. 👍🏾
Thank you so very much man! I will do what I can.....It was truly a magical album and time.We did some excellent shows and I sure wish somebody could find the footage in England or otherwise.@@caesargarcia1313
The 70's and 80's had so many great groups that came out. It's too many to count. This is a time that will live on as long as the "Baby Boomers" and their kids are alive. Many of these groups are still doing concerts even if they have to hobble around (lol) bc people can't get over the hits they made. The music now has not won over the vast majority of people but only a few. This music here will never be duplicated!!!

True pure funk carries on thru the centuries and this is one of the groups who has done that. Slave is one of the baddest groups of that Era and even to this day. Funk on brothers.
I absolutely love this band. They use to rehearse right behind my house. I also went to school with Mark and Patty Adams. Patty was Mark's sister. This brought back so many memories!!!
For those of us that grew up in the 1970s, do you remember the first thing you heard "Slide" in the radio? I dare anyone tell me it didn't blow your mind!
This is my Jam. I love this band as well as Steve Arrington who use to be in the group. These guys are bad. They can throw down on instruments. I hope they come to NY.❤❤❤
