If you don’t like it, DO NOT WATCH IT. He does understand, and he is trying to show the information in a more engaging way, rather than reading out a script like a documentary. He talks about all the great things robots have done, and that shows his knowledge of the subject. He has talked about other subjects too, and you can tell he has done research by his knowledge and ability to quote from various platforms. He’s talked about homelessness, gun laws in America, plastic pollution and so many more. I truly don’t get why you see him as being an idiot. I truly hope you have a good day, even if you don’t agree with my points.

Depends how you look at it, like in back to the future movies thinking we would have hover boards and flying cars by now but in the 80's when people were saying we would all be walking around with computers in our pockets in the future it was scoffed at as ridiculous yet is now a reality.
Honestly I'm all for automation, but only if the technology comes with a guaranteed to work manual override. The occasional accident from a self driving car is something that'll go away in time, but the main issue I can see with self driving cars is the fact that they can be remotely hijacked, and while you can make the software difficult to hack someone will eventually find a way around it. To me the best solution to this problem is to try and get the cars to just use the on board sensors; those sensors aren't capable of receiving any kind of wireless transmission which means they can't be used as a method to hack the car. Basically they need to make it physically impossible for the car to be hacked, not just digitally.
@Christopher Americanos I get where you're coming from but honestly I never feel 100% easy in a lift as it so happens. As for hacking itself, I find it hard to believe that anything is impossible or easy to hack. I think anything can be hacked with the right amount of perseverance and knowledge. You've got a point about the power steering though, I'll be honest and say that I didn't realise that this was how power steering worked. But then again I think the answer to that would be not to have the entertainment system hooked up in any way to the power steering. I just don't think anything that transmits or receives a wireless signal should be hooked up to the steering or engine. You have also bought up a good point about the manual override, I know the chances of a car getting hacked are slim, but I still think there needs to be some way for the driver to safely stop the car if someone does try to hack it, or if the car starts "misbehaving".
If all the traffic is connected to a central server run by a powerful artificial intelligence that can process code faster than any human then you have no issues. Unfortunately we are hampered by the power supply and cooling system for more powerful processors which will have to be solved before the implementation of such a system. I would hope that our species would have been able to get past the need for destruction and the issue is not even considered
Except that while robots may take over many of the jobs we do now, it will ultimately lead the creation of new and different jobs for us to do. History shows that. And that you really can't stop progress from happening no matter what you fear. This is just a continuation of the Industrial Revolution. A second phase of technological progress, and the reactions are much the same. But while there were many jobs lost to the Industrial Revolution, whole sectors made obsolete, it at the same time created new ones, entire sectors that would never have been imagined before. Will people necessarily be happier than before? That I don't know, but I doubt they will be jobless in the long run. There will be though some short term social upheavals as we adapt if history is any guide.
If I'm feeling low, the only two comedians who can truly make me belly ache with joy are Russell and Lee Evans. I'd love to see them do a sketch together! :)

the problem with machines taking place of humans in the workplace is that there are less jobs for humans and thus fewer people can earn money. we need some machines, yes, but there are too many in the workforce
