- In todays video, we get our well drilled for our home building sites. We had a water witcher out recently who located the water underground using cherry tree limbs. I honestly dont know how it works but it has been an "old timers" method for finding water and other things underground for centuries. Today we find out if the method worked or if well have to pick a new spot and try again.
If we hit water, this well will serve our Future Cabin as well as CRC's Shed-To-Home.

Brush should have been removed before the "well" men came. Seems a little rude.
Watching them drill the well takes me back.. my husband and I had a pump and water treatment business for 43 years until he passed away..We worked behind a couple drillers installing pumps and water treatment systems.. I worked right along with my husband pulling and repairing or replacing pumps..Hard hot work in the summer and colder than all get out in the winter..

Oddly my last name is Adair also but sorry, no relationship cause my grandparents were from Texas and related to mostly horse thieves I kinda think. I know we were all born with a rope burn around our necks. I always called it that cause us kids never washed the dirt off around the head and shoulders. My kids always hated me for saying that. I am very happy for you all as its hard to just find water anywhere. I spent years helping a old man who was a driller and he couldn't lift much more than a beer can in his old age. I helped him till he passed on at eighty plus years. I have stood where you were waiting cause if I didn't get water, I was too poor to drill another right away. I'm happy that this well has good water and now the both of you can share waters... yours for drinking an theirs for irrigation.

First, congratulations on your water. You guys introduced water witching to people that have never heard of such a thing. I was privy to this as a kid in Louisiana and Mississippi. I even tried, {as a kid} and had a little vibration so I had an idea of what a water witcher felt. Anyhoo, I just wanted to say that it was a joy to see. I can only imagine how you guys feel right now. I'm a subscriber and have been watching since you guys started. Your hard work is paying off so continue doing what you're doing and know that we anxiously await your next episode of building a life in Arkansas.

Back i michigan my dad and uncle witched for water they hit a underground pool of water. We lived about a quarter mike from lake huron. Very good water 😊

I’ll make a suggestion Since the well will Supply two homes: GET A PUMP BIGGER HORSEPOWER THAN NORMALLY USED FOR ONE HOUSE!! Take my word it’ll be worth every penny for the longevity side of things. A single home pump will work itself to death trying to keep two homes Supplied with water 🚿.
A Bigger Horsepower one that can handle both homes will last much longer and not burn up as fast. 😉
Not only a bigger pump but also a bigger bladder that holds the water better now than when you start to having problems
@@rosediaz5228 well if they use a submersible pump down in the well then they’ll only have to put a holding tank with air bladder & cut off switch in the pump house. Also they’ll not have to worry about a above ground pump losing its prime and then having to work on a pump in the pump house. I switched over to submersible pump years ago after constantly working on Jet pumps in dead of winter or blazing hot summers ! Above ground Jet pumps are headaches to constantly be working on.
It took 4 hours before I found you on u tube. Makes no sense.

My great grandpa was a diviner, found most all the wells for our county.

We witched in the late 1940s in Preble Co. Ohio = took two wells because of quicksand but they were only about 200 feet apart and the second well is still going. It works. LSS
My daughter had a pug weenie. Black and Tan with little stumpy legs. Looks like a seal. His real name is Marlon Dean, his nickname is Sgt. Dan, cause he looks as if he got no legs. Lol

Great question. Technically, yes.. we "could". But we have different plans in mind. The "camp" well will be used there for a camp in the future as well as for livestock in the future.
We wanted this 2nd well for our homes.

There 1st well would easily supply both homes and a barn full of animals.
