I think that's the best stable entrance since The Brood. Rising up through a ring of fire is always going to be hard to top, but Malakai being framed by red light as Brody, Buddy and Julia just materialise through the crimson mists behind him is a chilling image. Also, I've struggled to put my finger on exactly why I love Julia Hart's new look so much, but I think I can put it in words: she looks like the daughter of The Undertaker at his most grim.
They started from the sides and then went inside the heart of the Factory to take them out. Love this startegy! So happy to see them back together, I hope this stable continues to live on!!

If this is The House of Black's direction (where they take on all set before them), I'm all for it. Seeing Lady Julia's hat and the groups dark gear reminds me of The Undertaker and I'm happy to see a whole faction like this.

That's how I fantasy booked it, actually, because it'd be a hell of a swerve: the series between The Elite and Death Triangle goes all the way to the deciding 7th match, when the House interrupts and destroys them all. This results in the rematch being made a 3-way match, which the House then win to upset both teams, as The Elite and Death Triangle know each other inside out by now while the House are strangers to them, and the House is fresh while the other two have worn each other down over the weeks. Rather than either The Elite or Death Triangle, the House of Black are your new Trios Champions.

I'd love to see this faction expand by a couple of members...maybe add in a heel turn Keith Lee to give him a push, and maybe another member of the women's division - Ruby or Hikaru perhaps. Have the girls claim the TBS championship and the AEW Women's championship, and have Buddy, Brody, and the new third guy take the Trios while Malakai takes something like the FTW or TNT championship. Give the HoB a ton of gold while having them run roughshod over the roster for a few months, really build them up as a genuine threat.

It's crazy how Julia Hart has changed. Her presentation now is fantastic. She was getting a lot better in the ring as well before the HoB went on hiatus, so I'm hoping that she really makes a bang when she returns to the ring on TV. The HoB should be the perfect way to do it. Everyone and their dog can see the male trio should be holding serious gold, whether individual or tag, and that is the perfect way to introduce a new Julia Black-Hart to the audience. Have an established female wrestler underestimate her while the HoB are facing one of their male friends/teammates and Julia comes out on top in the ring - boom you've completely changed how people perceive her from her fragile trophy cheerleader that she was with the varsity blonds. So long as her in ring skills have continued on the trajectory they were on, she'll do great. The attention to detail she has given the character work shows that the potential is there.

I would love to see Brody King, Buddy Matthews and Malakai Black as Trios champions sometime in 2023; and Julia Hart as Ring of Honor women's champion or even TBS champion if AEW decide to eventually take the title off of Jade Cargill in 2023. It'd be so cool for each member of The House of Black to be title holders simultaneously- especially considering how many titles AEW and Ring of Honor have.

That is exactly how the House of Black needs to be, dominate, punishing their opponents, intimidating, absolutely love it. Those trios titles are placeholders until the House comes for them.
When you have a faction of four or more, the faction only focus on the top 2 members. HoB focus on Malakai and Julia, Judgement does Rhea and maybe Finn Balor. When NWO debut all 3 men had heavy focus on them, then they added more members and the focus shifted to Hogan and Nash with the Bad Guy taking a supportive role. Even in the Factory is all about QT Marshall but that’s his character. The only stable that had more than 4 members and had all their members doing something on Tv is Triple H’s DX.

I think HoB could be one of the best factions pro wrestling in general has seen in some time. But that also depends on proper booking, creative work, and any number of X-factors.
