    If you pause 0:51 and if you lift the front of your laptop, you will see the 60s ''m a r t'' label scar on the sign board, and if you pause 1:41 and again, lift the front of your laptop, you will see the K label scar! the top part is shorter because if search ''vintage kmart'', you will realize the K is over the sign board ,Like or comment if you saw it!

    Wow it's amazing to me that a building that has been abandoned this long is still sitting there. This building cannot be salvaged. They could do something much better with that property and makes me wonder who owns it. That said thank you for documenting this and taking the risk to go in. Just to think many moons ago this place was full of life now it's a haunting reminder of a past that is gone.

      I can tell you that nothing can be salvaged from this store. I am with you on this one! The condition of this Kmart is ridiculous! I don't see how this building is still standing! This Kmart building should have been wrecking balled years ago!
      And, I bet more than anything, the old fluorescent light fixtures inside this building probably don't work. They haven't been on since 1999.
      I bet more than likely, the old fire alarm systems in there probably don't work. They have not been tested since 1999. And, most fire alarm horn/strobes these days are basically just a loud speaker hooked to a tone driver. Anyone's guess would be what probably happened to the speaker cones, especially if they were paper.
      Definitely that the P.A. system speakers don't work. It have not been talked on since 1999. And, P.A. speakers have cones that are just made of paper. You know that the speaker cones would have deteriorated over the years.
      And, you know that animals have been nesting in the building over the years.
      That building should have been wrecking balled a long time ago!

And, rather you believe it or not, this building is still there, believe it or not, unfortunately. It's in even worse condition now than it was when this was filmed...according to what I have heard. To tell you the truth, I am utterly amazed that this building has not collapsed on itself.

      Someone will end up dying in that building. They need to demolish it ASAP!

    • @chadrowland5234
      @chadrowland5234 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MannyQuacioua No doubt! I totally agree with you! Either someone is going to meet an undesirable person in there or the building is going to collapse on someone. And, it's already collapsing.
      Are they keeping that building for salvage or salvageable material? I can tell you that trying to salvage anything in that building is total, total BS. And, a waste of time, money, and resources. And, putting yourself at risk just to salvage stuff from that building? Really? Please excuse my language but that is total BS. I seriously doubt that those old light fixtures still work. No telling what kinds of terrible surprises are hiding from within the wiring compartment of those light fixtures that may have been gnawing on the wires over the years. You have no clue if there may be a nest of hazardous wildlife lurking from within the light fixtures. Bats, mise, rats, stuff like that. And, then you bring that into your house or building? And, that's if there aren't nests of dangerous wildlife in that building. I highly doubt those light fixtures even still work. And, even if they did, they are all rusted out. I seriously doubt that the P.A. speakers still work. So, you can forget about adding any of that stuff to your collection. I mean, after all of these years? Yeah right! I don't know what the city is thinking.
      Run into violent criminals that may be lurking inside, sudden building collapse, hazardous mold growth, hazardous animals, sharp rusted metal that can give you tetanus, if you should have a problem police and fire fighters can't help you, you may not be able to exit the building if you had to in an emergency, something like a safe or vault could slam closed and trap you, fall through the floor if on elevated levels, slip and fall and nobody be able to help you, and what closed the building down in the first place can sometimes be a hazard in itself like hazardous waste beneath the foundation very rare but does happen, bad people convering old buildings into meth labs, exposure tohazardous drugs, I mean, I can think of over a million things that can easily go wrong with going into that Kmart building. Abandoned buildings are just not a playground. They're just not a playground. Particularly this Kmart location. Especially in this sort of shape. Abandoned buildings and exploration people just don't mix. They just don't mix. If you go into that Kmart building, I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND bringing a first aid kit, something to protect yourself (I recommend pepper spray), respirators, and and ALWAYS USE THE BUDDY SYSTEM. I can't stress how important those rules are when involving abandoned buildings and especially that Kmart building.
