se io fossi un soprano di coloratura e sentissi Lei, la divina mariella, cambierei mestiere perche non avrei la costanza di studiare cosi tanto e sempre anche alla sua eta. Altroche le giovani che si definiscono tutte soprani di coloratura. MARIELLA e la perfezione. E il risultato di un profondo ed intelligente infinito studio. GRAZIE DI ESISTERE.

Este Marzo 2017 ... próximo a cumplir 69...fui a Valencia a verla en Lucrecia Borgia ....y si bien no estuvo con un elenco brillante como ella, dio clase de GRAN calidad interpretativa y sensibilidad cantando y actuando ....que es lo que falta en muchos otros cantantes. Su humildad y TALENTO no es común. Ha sido de lo mejor que aún nos emociona cuando estamos “ en vivo” escuchando y viéndola. Gracias SEÑORA DEVIA, ojalá alguna joven trate de darnos su ejemplo

Astonishing singing! Age has nothing to do with it, even when she had been 30 performing it she would be considered a top rank singer. Amazing singing, beautiful. Brava!!!
Actually, in her case and many others, she wasn’t as great at 30 as she became over the years.
Mariella was born 12th apr 1948 and this was 19th aug 2009,so 61,5 yrs
It is a rarity that singers at that age still perform on this superb level She impresses me already for that.Apart from the age she must have grown in performing over the years,as she convinces me more than when she was younger.Bravo.In the meantime she is 64,5 and if she preserves her voice like she did we can keep on enjoying her for a few more years.I wonder what her secret is to perform still at such a high level

Una magnífica soprano italiana cantando en su bello idioma esta aria del genio italiano.
Absolutely the best sound and expression for this aria, this role; and her voice, if anything, is even more incredible than in earlier years. Can't hold back the tears, and wouldn't want to - such a perfect fit with Tokyo's Philharmonic... thank you so so much for posting this.

Una grande cantante e interprete che, in rapporto alle sue capacità, non ha avuto il riconoscimento dovuto. Sempre esterofili, noi italiani.
Riccardo Barreca, e' stata fin troppo riconosciuta. Non possiamo paragonarla ad una Sutherland, ad una Sills, nonha quella levatura vocale e comunque e' sempre poco espressiva e con un suono legnoso.

My first pick for Bolena has to be Sutherland. (was one of my first exposures to opera.). 2nd comes Devia, and she's right on Sutherland's heels~ hehehe.

Mariella Devia: una lezione di belcanto
I love Mariella Devia, but the ultimate Bolena for me is Callas with Caballé at a strong second place and Gencer at third place. Having said that, this is gorgeous singing from one of the queens of bel canto. I can only hope I am half as wonderful when I’m at the same age.
