    Having not-so-fond memories of having to manually split firewood in my youth, I think I enjoy watching this machine going through a cord of wood, for the same reason I love how my snow-blower handles 2 feet of snow.

    @kennyplay Most likely just the standard levers,with a multi function grip on it,same as in a harvester or feller buncher.

    $39,000 on eBay! This thing should work flawless for that price. Does it work with curved logs or only with nice straight logs?

  • @calfroper1210
    @calfroper1210 13 ปีที่แล้ว

    @effinghamhick If Im not mistaken, it has an 18 inch harvester bar and .404 pitch chain

  • @felixchaus
    @felixchaus 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    @effinghamhick I commented on the first part of video about same thing.
    It should have something to clear the splitter, door on bottom or more open bottom side that wrongly located logs could drop straight out.
    It takes too much time and effort to wiggle logs out, I belive that
    I would just push them out with next log and break the machine.
    Great innovation tough, next generation might be 90 prosent perfect, if they would use your recommendations.

    Prices starting at $36,000. Holy shit that's more than the bobcat it's hooked to

    • @motoxlove9934
      @motoxlove9934 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah but a bobcat is useless with out good attachment, it's like a car without wheels.

    • @cac7549
      @cac7549 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +srgmetro Everybody out there is out to make a buck. That is a really high price. When you take into account the price of wood to cut those logs can get very expensive to cut. It is cheaper if you buy heating oil now because prices have come down considerably on petroleum. A fair price for this accessory should be about 15 thousand dollars, not 36 thousand dollars. It is a ripoff.

    Great machine BUT not perfect > Total waste of sawdust.
    Should "capture" all the sawdust & compact it for further usage.
