Making really good money as CNA registry but I’m not learning any skills :/ when I finish LPN school will work and retake prerequisites A&P, Microbiology, and Math (depends) what again depending where I can do a bridge program. I’ve been in Lpn for 15 years, currently in the bridge in program. Basically they just give you credit for your Lpn and then you join the RN students in third year. Not gonna lie, a lot of this is on repeat, and like you said, just going a little bit deeper with it. But since I’ve been living with his information and using it in practice in my head for 15 years, going deeper with it doesn’t feel complicated or hard, it just feels like a few things clicking that I didn’t quite understand fully before. It’s like when you read an abridged version of a book and then years later, go and read the unabridged version. You already have the just and the philosophy of what’s going on, but now you’re filling in a few of the gaps. 🙂. In clinicals, the bridge in students blow away everybody. Not because they’re inherently smarter but because you’ve been working in a hospital or clinical setting for several years or more and the rhythm and organization of nursing it’s just natural to you already. I remember when I graduated from the Lpn program, that really was the biggest challenge. Knowing how everything runs and time organization. being able to discern what’s important and what isn’t.

    • @yourfavnurseb9699
      @yourfavnurseb9699  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! I’m learning now how to discern what’s important and what isn’t while I’m a hospital setting vs LTC. I’m also learning how fast things move in the hospital.

    This is great. You hit it on the nose girl I'm an LPN back in school for my RN as well and i get it now LPNs carry out the tasks and are more skilled oriented vs RNs understanding why certain tasks etc need to be done You are going to be such a great well rounded nurse GOD Bless You! I've heard its hard for LPNs to Make that transition once becoming the RN which is why i decided to go right back because yes a lot of the material is the name and can be repetitive but you just dig a little deeper. Well Wishes;)

    As always I love your nursing videos. Every nursing school and program is different in the way they teach theory, lab, and clinicals. In my area the Technical Program provides Workforce Development, the Community College provides Occupational Development and the University provides Career Development. The LPN introduces you into the field of nursing, the ADN builds on the LPN program and provides a deeper insight into a career in nursing and the BSN program builds upon the LPN and ADN Program and provides insight into the profession meaning you have a comprehensive approach to nursing not just a practical or application approach...

      @@yourfavnurseb9699 , ❤️ I look forward for your insight in Nursing. I want individuals to understand that Nursing is complex and each level is important. CNA's provide Basic Care, PCT's provide advance Basic Care, LPN's provide Subacute Care, ADN's provide Acute Care, and BSN's provide Critical Care, they are all important and all these levels of nursing are provided at the Undergraduate Level 😁. It's not a battle CNA vs PCT, LPN vs RN, it's all about patient safety and advocating for your patient rights... I apologize for the long commitment, but keep doing what you are doing because you inspire so many....

    Hearing this makes me sad now lol. I’m in an lvn program now, I finish in 4 months. In my program, I always ask why, why is this going on why do they have these signs and symptoms. I feel like lvn programs don’t really teach you the why. For me, I find it super important because that how I learn, that’s how I connect everything together like you mentioned. Some days I wish I would of went straight to a rn program but god has his own plans 🫶🏾

I’m a Med/Tele nurse now and I regret it honestly, because I’m stuck here now that I travel and work prn. If you get 2 years in the ED you can basically do any specialty, and travel within any specialty.

    I will be done with my prerequisites this semester, however I am unsure what would be better for me. I have the option to apply to an LVN or an RN class. The RN class starts in Fall 2022, and it is an hour away from my home which means I would have to commute. The LVN is in a local college, but it will start until Spring 2023.
    I feel like I should wait for the LVN because I am not very profficient in English, then I can use this time to learn more. I have heard from some people that if I apply to the RN program and I am unable to pass a class, then I would not be able to apply to any other program. I don't really know, but I am doing my research.

      There is, but it is such a process. You have to do teas, and take a statistic math, also for the “bridge”… means you have to test out of maternity, mental health, and peds… if you fail the test out portion, you have to do the whole 2yr nursing program. Is this how it is for your area?
