- Hey guys! I found a very rare camera! EXA Ihagee Dresde. I was so excited to test it and to see what it is capable of so I decided to go on a trip with this camera and to take some pictures in a small town! Hopefully you will enjoy watching this video! I picked up one of these two days ago. It was the EXA with the 50mm f/2.9 and a really old but non working Kodak folding camera both for $25 U.S. and after fixing a bent lever that cocks the shutter inside the camera I’m already shooting with it. I can’t wait to get that roll developed.
rediscovering our inner child is the best thing we can do, being fascinated by the smallest details is a strange sensation mixed with nostalgia, but it makes happy.

Thanks for showing us the beauty of non-sharp photos. I've seen many paintings of landscapes that if taken with a sharp lens would be uninteresting, even though the paintings are good.
I actually like to use this camera regularly, and should you ever decide to take it out again, try shooting it at 1/150 at all times. It might sound a little silly, but since the mirror is also the shutter, it flipping up sometimes moves the camera in your hands creating motion blur as the exposure is being taken -- shooting at 1/100 or 1/150 made my handheld photos much crisper. Great video, loved the color grading and overall aesthetic!

it's been like 11 years that i'm working in agencies or news papers, and until very recently, like a year ago, i decided that i need to make something for my own, so i open an instagram for my photos and started to make photos that i like and also taking freelance work, and one of the reasons that help me decide this is your tiktok account and your dreamy pictures, i even bought a diffusion filter, so i wanna thank you for the inspiration ;)

Nice video! I bought an Exa for 30 Euro/25 Dollar, it was really beat up and it was not clear if it would work. But these Exas (and Exaktas) are real workhorses 😁

@@Nazriya1at that price I'd say it's a good deal, and if you don't mind manual focus then I'd recommend going with old film era lenses with an adapter.
don't be discouraged by the lower megapixel count it's still plenty and you'll find the image quality very pleasing.
