Hey guys, this video's monetization is "limited" due to the content not being appropriate for most advertisers (please don't ask me to explain any further cause that's what TH-cam is telling me lol). I tried re-editing the video several times but it didn't work. There's something so evil about this movie that advertisers don't want to have anything to do with it lmao. Anyways, this ISN'T OBLIGATORY but if you want to tip or donate to my channel, here's a Paypal account that you can use (it's my sister's, that's why the name is different). Thank you so much in advance and sorry if this is annoying: adrianamiquilena1@gmail.com (careful, don't miss the number "1" in there).

The Evil Dead is a great trilogy of films by Sam Raimi. Although frightening at times, they do get progressively more funny. The third film, 'Army of Darkness', is hysterical. Hope you consider giving the other two films a chance. (2nd film is 'Evil Dead II', btw)

“Amanda Ween” has been brilliant this year. Love this film for its fearless filmmaking and for Bruce Campbells acting! The Evil Dead 2 (which in a manner is not a sequel but not a remake either?!) is my personal fave of the original trilogy. It has a more comedic tone eg. Buster Keaton esque but still chillingly demonic. Also they had more money!!! Call me a sadist but I thoroughly enjoyed you getting freaked out by moments in the film and you calling on Jesus!! Fantastic reaction Amanda

@@marlonthemarvellous Evil Dead II is actually the second time they did this, since this movie, the first Evil Dead, "was supposed to be a remake of Within the Woods, with higher production values and a full-length running time." Within the Woods was a short film they made for just $1,600. This version cost $350K or so, then ED II was $3.5m. They just kept trying out the same concept with more money and experience each time, but they appropriately thought they nailed it with ED II.

when i saw evil dead in high school, it was like a lightbulb turning on. "anyone can make a movie" watching evil dead with commentary, learning all the stories about the corners they cut to get the thing made ,following the careers of the people involved, it's just a wonderful expression of the hollywood dream. This is my favourite horror movie. The effects, the sound design, the camera work, and Baby Bruce. Linda's iconic "We're gonna get you.." is on par with Nightmare on Elm Street's "1, 2, Freddy's coming for you..". The fact this was basically a low-budget student film is astonishing, considering its execution and cultural impact on the film industry, creating the whole "cabin in the woods" horror genre. FYI, Part 2 has a 10 minute recap of part 1 as the opening, up until the final scene of this film, but due to Sam Raimi not having rights to footage from the 1st film, they had to reshoot, recast, and simplify the storyline to just Linda, so people who hadn't seen it could catch up. So that will assuage your confusion. I make sense of it by thinking of it as Ash having a nightmare about the events of the first film (up until he wakes up in part 2 in the chair), and dreams are often not a faithful retelling of events. The fact that Ash's mind is also greatly impacted makes him a semi-unreliable narrator, so that works too. Ash is one of the best final girls ever. Imagine having to kill your best friend, sister, and girlfriend? His character development throughout the franchise is iconic.

Fun facts... Sam raimi and Rob tapet are the hitchhikers on the road. And if you listen carefully it tells you when they play the tape.
Bruce Campbell got scratched on the face for real by Ted raimi.
This was cut on vhs in uk in 1981 then it was banned (along with 71 other titles) then it was re-released with more cuts.

Oh btw I’m sorry if I’m annoying for keeping replying 😅 but I may have a movie tip, I watched a movie last week called it lives inside, it’s a Indian American horror about a girl and a demon from Indian demonic mythology.
It is very different from all the other demonic horrors.
I don’t know if you heard about it, but i quite enjoyed it, so if you hadn’t now you have haha

Your own camera moving around looks "handheld". Is that deliberate?

Am I evil for enjoying your constant expressions of fear and horror? Yes, yes I'm quite sure I am. But hey - context.

Oh boy you just opened and are going to get caught in the Evil Dead/ Bruce Campbell vortex. Now you have to watch the 2nd one which is a remake/sequel to the first and would set the tone for the rest of the franchise as horror comedy. Then Army of Darkness (the 3rd one and most refined) and then you mine as well watch Ash Vs The Evil Dead series. Have fun.

Christians trying to appeal to their god against demons far older than him is funny but kind of sad. Mesopotamian demons had terrorized humanity's imagination long before El and Yhwy were even thought of. And those demons were "vanquished" by other cultures and their gods. Asking a man who was literally thrown in the garbage for protection is wild too.
