Can the basic stormtroopers even damage knights with their blasters? I would think they would need grenade launchers or an rpg to even scratch them

No they can't the armor on the knight is far too thick to get through let alone their energy field they deploy that would render their plasma bolts completely useless. Imperial knights are used to combat other mechs or creatures their size if not bigger and come out on top....mostly

@@Hatch1989 yeah was asking cause it seems pointless to deploy normal stormtroopers for a battle like this if they don't have anti-vehicle weapons equipped

@@zacharyweaver276 Fair point but even then imperial anti-vehicle weaponry might not be enough to get through it's armor and only serve to piss it off, The only way I could see a trooper dealing damage is if they got their hands on a turret sporting a ISD grade turbo laser.....or you know, not deploy them and just orbital bombard them into dust
