Thank you so much! I'd love to review Sony 85mm GMII but Sony won't talk to me. If someone can lend me one for a week, I'll make that review straight away
I'm starting to look at mirrorless coming from DSLR and I'm thinking the Z6III is the way to go. I shoot mostly portraits, (natural and OCF) and seem to stick with 85mm but my AF-D lens won't work with AF on the Z lineup. So I was looking at this one. These shots look great and really make me confident it will be a great upgrade. BTW, I really appreciate you not detraining your shots.
Yeah this lens is a corker. It's kinda annoying really as I don't use it for weeks at a time, debate selling it, then pick it back up again and remember why I keep it around 😅 This and the 50mm f/1.8 S convinced me to ditch the zooms on Z mount and just go with these reasonably affordable primes, because they're _ridiculously_ good.
I just picked this lens up and a Nikon Zf. It’s great! My next lens is gonna be the 50 1.8 S. I shoot headshots. These Nikon lenses are amazing for price.
The optical performance is different. Despite of the f/1.8 aperture, it is a S-line lens (on par with G Master) meaning the weight is probably coming from quality glass.
Teşekkürler.
thanks (whatever that means)
Your lens reviews are some of the best on TH-cam! Looking forward to the review of the new Sony 85mm 1.4 GM II lens.
Thank you so much!

they are ridiculously good
Indeed they are Robert
Pav, Nice video!! With the release of the Z6 III, are you thinking of switching from L-Mount to Z-Mount?
Thanks!
I wouldn't switch, I'd use both.
I use Lumix as my main cameras but I also use Sony, Nikon, Fuji and Canon
@@PavSZ Thanks Pav. Yes, I can tell Lumix is your main cameras; great work!!

Pav, Sony dropped Shutter Angle this morning for Fx3 and the Fx30!!! 6.00 for Fx3 and 5.00 for Fx30
how is this relevant to a Nikon lens review? asking for a friend
Pav SZ is GOAT 🙂
thanks
@@PavSZ You're Welcome
These presets are sexy!
aren't they just? 😉
Only 85/1.2 :P
only twice bigger and three times more expensive
The 85 f1.8 is a great lens but while the 85 f1.2 is around its not the King ...
yes but f1.2 lens is much bigger and much more expensive making it a very specialist tool
@@PavSZ Portraits and headshots is a very specialized part of photography ...
Not really .......... Would bet that anyone with a camera or even a phone is shooting portraits at one time or another .......... @roybixby6135
What a beauty @ 0:16!
Eww @ 0:52 😯
WTH @ 1:44 ! 🙄

470g?Oh come on Nikon, please make your lens lighter......Sony's 85mm f1.8 is 370g

Sony is a budget friendly, cheap and chearfull 85mm, This lens is in a different class. 470g for 85mm is good
