After having raced hare scrambles on a 300 2-stroke for 3 years, I gotta say the only performance mod needed on that bike is a Vortex ECU. Aside from installing protection upgrades, it makes the bike so much better in the woods.

I just ordered a clutch cover guard and an aluminum skid plate, my "stock" one allowed enough flex for a rock to grab my oil filter cover and my brake lever to puncture my clutch cover. Long walk out of the wood for the little protection that comes standard on the bike. 2021 crf250rx

Ride the 450 till you are tired of it and sale it and bring us another bike to review. That’s what your all about. Talking about the same old bike all the time gets boring. You keep switching things up on us and that’s what I like. Never a dull moment. I really wish you would get an electric dirt bike to review. From what I’ve seen they are pretty bad ass.
I know it's almost a meme it's repeated that much... but seriously you cannot judge this bike until you've ridden it with the Vortex and an aftermarket pipe. It doesn't even feel like the same bike. 44-45hp and you can lose extra weight with other mods. However it is definitely expensive
He'll I've had mine 6 months now and a 1000 miles later it's broke in, all stock and it runs GREAT... just did kanes creek in moab (50 miles rough trail) and it did great.
Love the install vid, to be honest, was kinda getting burnt out of the trail rides...Dont get me wrong, love the content, might just be that POV vids are not my favorite. Also, if you damage the skid plates, we can fix them!
Big fan and a similar type of guy and I think that it could be worth your while to look up results of a fully built 450L for off road. remove the bs and perfect a good platform because you will need to do that sooner or later. It’s too expensive for me though so I wouldn’t do it

Hi Tanner sell the 450l and get yourself a 450rx you wont look back again, the 450rx can crawl, do logs, high speed or even race. Dont make the same mistake as I did to change over from Honda to KTM the reason why its called KTM is KEEP TAKING MONEY
I wouldn't throw money at that bike either, do the mods you always get your money back on a Honda,I had a 03 cr250r rode it for 2years sold it for 200 less than I bought it

Truth. I own a 450l and after putting on vortex ecu and fmf q4 the bike is a completely different machine.

Check out the flatland racing rad guards with braces. I put them and their skid plate on my crf450l
You should make a Custom Skid Plate out of Ramen Noodles.

You might change your mind after you change the gearing.you might want to keep it.if the clutch is such a pain soften it a bit
