ERRR ok maybe I'm just really sensitive to all things post partum but that person's comment about them "wondering if someone was doing something to the baby" was SO not appropriate. If I were on the receiving end of that, that comment would be floating around in my brain all day for several days to come. The neighbors banging on the wall would have totally made my post partum anxiety spiral out of control - so you're not alone in being sensitive! People need to be more kind, and the way you responded (with the note and gifts) was very generous. While I wouldn't have been big enough to do the same, your actions were very Christ-like so I commend you. Again, you are doing so amazing and I pray that God will continue to lift you and Alex up through this crazy journey. It's scary not having your mom around anymore - I felt the same! But you will feel liberated knowing that you and Alex CAN survive this (although it does take a village to raise a child and I hope you will still get help occasionally in the future)!
Haha Jane seriously thank you for saying that. I think the way I cope with anxiety is just constant reminders... so thank you for understanding me and for just making me feel better about it. I definitely wasn't trying to be a bigger person... honestly didn't know how else to deal with it without making my anxiety way worse. This at least made me feel like the ball is more in her court? We left our number too so she really can contact us if there's any more trouble lol! Anyway. THANK YOU!!

You are going above & beyond to take expensive gifts to the neighbors! Very sweet. That one woman clearly has some kind of issues, plus no experience with children. People who can't deal with normal human life around them shouldn't live in apartments. So pray for her but ignore her reactions; you two are the best parents (& neighbors!) ever! :)

Sarah ♡ Your neighbor is wrong to say any of those things and wrong to bang on the wall. That’s rude and disrespectful to new parents. There’s nothing YOU can do about it. THEY need to buy their own ear plugs or blast a sound machine or better yet, move!

Hi! Thank you so much for saying that. I have to keep reminding myself that there's nothing I can do. But honestly I've made a lot of peace with it in the past week, thankfully!! Congrats on your second baby (I cannot imagine doing that!). I heard it's hard but sooo amazing to watch your two babies grow together. Aw. I hope the last bit of your pregnancy is smooth and that you soak up the magical days with your newborn! I feel like you will be such a pro!
First of all Charlotte has me GUSHING over here, and making all types of silly grinning faces. She is a DOLL! Second of all your feelings and thoughts are totally valid regarding the neighbors - and you're right at the end of the day there's nothing you can do about it to console them. Your main concern is Charlotte and they either get it or they don't. I can't believe someone would say they thought you guys were doing or not doing something for her. Sounds like someone who has no clue what it's like to have a newborn - or kids period. In my mind, I'm like they can always move if they have a problem LOL Keep being awesome Mama!
Haha Desirae thank you! Honestly things change a lot when you become a mom. My perspective changed and I feel like even in this month, I've come to understand others a lot better... like other people's kids, how they parent, etc. It really is just everyone doing their best! Anyway thanks for always supporting and YES Charlotte does feel like a doll, especially when I'm shoving her little arms into different outfits lol!

Great vid.. day in a life of new parenting. My eldest wasnt colicky, she just cried for an hour every day for 3 months, 7 to 8 pm, every single night. Babies need to cry. Allows their lungs to fill and grow. It was a good thi g I lived on the farm. I dont do well with neighbors, especially thise who jump to conclusions of how a baby is suppose to be taken care of. Each child is different. It was nice to give earplugs to your neighbors. It will get better.
Thank you! Wow, even though she wasn't "officially" colicky, that sounds really hard. Almost harder because you're anticipating it! But yeah, I agree. I don't want to ever feel like I'm silencing Charlotte!! It seems healthy to cry here and there for sure. A farm sounds really lovely to me right now but I think I've made peace with it in the last week, THANKFULLY. Thank you :)
