I have liked the idea of celebrating on the 7th ever since I found out about it. Maybe this will be a tradition for my future family. Hope you have a blessed New Year And Merry Christmas! God bless you and your family. And happy belated birthday!

Thank you so much!😊🥰 Yes, it was definitely some much needed time to ourselves. We are so thankful that we have family willing to help us out so we can sometimes have a date! May God Bless you too!🙏☦️♥️

    Happy birthday!! 🎉
Thanks for sharing. The Orthodox parish we attend follows the Gregorian calendar, but it’s neat that many follow the Julian calendar. I’m still an inquirer so learning a lot! I never thought about how celebrating in January has the benefit of Christmas sales. That is really nice 😄

Did you grow up Russian Orthodox? How was it for you? We are catechists but my husband is scared the kids will leave the church later in life for having to sit through Church

Yes, I was baptized as an infant. I’m no priest of course, but I think some of the best things to do is pray that your children will stay in the Orthodox Faith. Also, ensure that they have a good understanding of the Church, which I’m sure you are doing.🙂 A parent’s prayers really do go a long way! May God Bless you and your family!💕🙏☦️
